Probably our most enjoyable meals during our 2 weeks in Italy. Its a small local family place with hand printed menus and local specialties. Suggest you make a reservation because they are always busy with both locals, and tourists. The wait staff hustles and will still stop to help translate menu items to English. Try one of their house specials--the... More

Been years since we've eaten here but absolutely nothing has changed. And that's all to the good. I swear I had the pasta with the wild boar sauce the last time I was here and it was very good as was our entire experience. The complementary offer of a digestivio by placing a bottle of amaretto AND a bottle of... More

This place was just up the street from the Athena hotel. We walked past it several times going and coming from Il Campo. It did not open till 7:30. I had stopped in and made a reservation during their lunch. The menu was in Italian. The waitress explained everything very well. Our food was served very fast and we enjoyed... More

Having read reviews not what we expected, staff were friendly, it was busy but they got us a table, but the food let it down, starter and primal were ok but mains were bland, but it is cheap and cheerful maybe we expected too much but I wouldn't recommend.

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel Athena We went there late and without any big expectations but service was great and food good . The place is more for local and food is simple but yet again good

Fantastic food, good wine (with a selection of 375mL bottles for the solo diner), and great service. Try the Grappa and/or the Amaretto. House-made and very good.

This is not a tourist restaurant. In fact, everyone we saw were locals. It is not pretentious but simply serves excellent local food. Typical are homemade pastas, rabbit, wild boar, caprese, and other dishes typical of the region of Tuscany. The wines were good. An especially nice touch was the free homemade grappa and Amaretto made and served by the... More

Good service, excellent meals for all party members. Stuffed gnocchi, roast pork, cod. Good house wine at affordable prices. Well worth a visit.

Excellent home style dishes. Very authentic. First night we had the spaghetti with pesto ragu sauce, fettuccine with cream sauce and chicken dish. Full of flavor. Decided to eat there our second and final night and had steak, pesto, and carbonara dishes. House wines and tiramasu were great as well.

We wandered in without a booking and they very kindly seated us in the downstairs room which I'm not sure they planned on opening that night. The waited was very attentive even though we were tucked away. He was so helpful with deciphering the menu as well. The food was simple and really tasty. Best tiramisu we've had so far... More
