Enjoyed a refined meal at PorriOne, supported by an amazing wine list, including access to some of the top wines of the region by the glass thanks to their Coravin preservation system. Why more top restaurants don't follow this system of wine serving is beyond me, as it completely changes the wine serving experience as a consumer and lover of... More

The dining room is like a garage and the uncomfortable chairs from some patio. The wine list is thicker than the bible [which put me on guard as to whether they could carry such an enormous stock. THEY CAN'T! I ordered a wine known to me and they delivered another wine and did not say it was not what I... More

This is really international style food with a light Italian emphasis. Very very good. We had the set tasting menu which was very fine. Nice wine menu although honestly too large to be useful. I am a wine geek and even I found too many choices to be able to make a decision on my own. Sometimes less is better.... More

Best wine list I have seen in a long time with strength on Italy, Also has many very reasonable options. Food was great especially the squab. Loved a number of Siena restaurants but this one probably best.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel in Siena - The Grand Hotel, which, by the way, is excellent. We decided to try a few dishes.... 2 appetizers, 1 pasta and 2 entree....plus bread, water+ wine, and chocolate. Please see attached photos. The appetizer with the squid sliced into "pasta like" strands was impressive. Everything went well together. Very satisfying.... More

If I have to be critical, the decor is nothing like as nice as the food. Quite plain interior and relatively inexperienced staff. Once you see the menu it all begins to get better... expensive, but probably the best in Siena at the moment and certainly better than some of the more famous restaurants.

It can only be a matter of time before PorriOne achieves its first Michelin star. The standard of cuisine and service is already at that level. After several days of eating traditional Tuscan food, however good, it was a pleasure to taste cooking that was a little more delicate and refined whilst retaining the flavours of the region. The pigeon... More

There are so many traditional Trattoria and Osteria in Siena to choose from, and most offer fantastic Tuscan cuisine including all the classic dishes. What distinguishes PorriOne is the 'high end' dining feeling you realize here. Service is impeccable, and the puts a gourmet twist on traditional Tuscan dishes. I had a perfectly grilled Florentine T-bone, and my wife had... More

We booked this restaurant last minute to pre-celebrate my birthday. Since this is one of the most upscale restaurants in Siena, I expected it to be an overpriced michillin guide one. Oh boy was I wrong! It was the best meal I had during my 1 week stay in italy. The service and food were both exceptional, and we highly... More
