I had mushrooms for entree and gnocchi with leeks for main with a side of spinach and a glass of chianti. Dessert was lemon sorbet that was served in a lemon. A very enjoyable lunch.

Me and my husband had a lovely dinner. Simple cooking, very tasty dishes, we had the best truffle risotto so far and the chicken with mushrooms cooked in wine sauce, at a very reasonable price.

Greeted by a complimentary prosecco, we enjoyed perfectly cooked scaloppine with porcini mushrooms followed by the torta della nonna. Many people without a reservation were turned away on a relatively quiet April evening so we were glad we'd booked. The price was very reasonable and the head waiter was charming.

Excellent authentic Italian food, unfussy and delicious, just like homemade. Would highly recommend the porcini mushroom risotto and the oscobucco. Generous portion sizes as well. Excellent service. We will be back next time.

We found this restaurant by complete chance while being lost in Siena streets. It was our lucky day! The food was incredibly good. You could clearly feel it was homemade food, and when we saw the grandma coming out of her kitchen we understood why it was so good. It seems like it's a family owned restaurant, the staff was... We stumbled upon Taverna di Cecco tonight, march 1, after hunting in vain for a place to eat dinner. They have some pretty focused times to be open, around 3 hrs for lunch and 2-3hrs for dinner. Plus several places are closed since season has not started. My wife and I plus one other lone diner were the only customers.... More

Tagliatelle ragu was fantastic. We were given a free dish to begin with (wish I knew the name, but this contained tomatoes, celery, cheese) and this was amazing too. Would definitely go back, and has been the best single meal in Italy so far. Highly recommended.

Small Osteria with good and kind service, traditional quality food, simple but pleasant location. The beef (tagliata) with porcini was amazing and everything served welcoming hosts, also during New Year's Eve dinner that was crowded. Recommended.

We stumbled upon this place when doing a day trip to Siena. It is a tiny taverna, but they quickly found us a seat. We were served their signature panzanella which was amazing and complementary. The service was great and the waiter knew enough English to help us decipher the menu. I had the most delicious gnocchi and my friend... More

"Inflated" Caprese (very small) with lettuce. Greasy gnocchi. OK wine, OK water (!). I have no problem with the 15% extra as they don't charge "coperto", but the food is, at best, mediocre.
