Another visit today with my daughter excellent pici, gnocchi and tiramisu. you will not find the normal speghetti with red sauce here. The gnocchi had a celery pesto which was excellent. for antipasti we had an asperagus pate that was very different and very good. if you want same same ... go elsewhere. if you want great twists on local... The waiter was really helpful choosing our wine for the evening which was exceptional. The surroundings were authentic with lots of photos of previous famous diners. However we found the food mediocre and not cheap. My Tuscan lamb arrived lukewarm as did my fellow diner's boar steak .

We ate here a few weeks back during our Tuscany trip. After walking and exploring the beautiful city of Siena we came upon this restaurant and we were immediately greeted by a friendly waiter. The restaurant closes at 2pm and we arrive right before closing. This was not an issue as the friendly staff waited on us hand and foot.... More

We liked this place so much we went twice in 5 days. Wonderful local style Tuscan and an outstanding wine list with older bottles at decent prices. If you like wine so should go here and ask for recommendations. The waiter/sommelier Pino was very knowledgeable and recommended some wonderful older wines that fit our price range. I went to some... Went to Guido with my husband while on our honeymoon. Didn't quite expect the delicious experience we lived there!! The service was very good and the waiters were nice and answered all of our questions and indulged our curiosity! The food was simply fantastic...the waiters humbly told us that it is easy to make good food when the ingredients are... More

We had a great meal with wonderful service at this restaurant. They have an extensive wine list. Staff were very attentive and helpful with menu selections and possible wine pairing, but not pushy. Food was outstanding,

A restrauteur friend recommended Ristorante Guido, so I made reservations. Later, I read some of the negative the reviews here and began having second thoughts. We went anyway and happy to report we had an excellent dinner all the way through. The stewed Boar (reminded me of pot roast) and pork steak (chop) were both top notch. The chocolate soufflé... In the bright side the food was quite good but in a restaurant of that category you should also feel special no matter if you ask for the more expensive wine o for a bottle of water and that was not the case here. The waitress did not made us feel either special or welcome and have just eyes for... More

I read others' reviews and I beg to differ. Not only was Sunday nite dinner excellent, we plan to go there again. The salads were so fresh, the eggplant so tasty, and my first try at an Italian steak was rewarded. Desserts were equally tasty. The wait staff was attentive but not over bearing. Perhaps tonite a repeat visit!

I stopped by Ristorante Guido for dinner a few nights ago. It was fine and I would be fine going back there in a pinch. But I would probably look for another place first. I didn't have a reservation but the staff were happy to seat me. However, I looked at th menu for no longer than five minutes, and... More
