This is an excellent restaurant with first class food and service. It is located on a quiet backstreet in Pisa but is well worth seeking out. The food is well prepared and the standard of service well above the norm - thoroughly recommended.

We travelled in Florence and Pisa this November. Most of the food we had was good, although this is the only restaurant that prompted me to write on Tripadvisor. We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. Practically everywhere we ate wasn't that busy, except...More

We stumbled upon the restaurant by accident. Lovely meal and a good wine. The price is reasonable. A great evening all round!

Strong four star restaurant. We find fish baked in salt keeps it moist but this is not commonly offered. Had it here and it was great. Also found starters and desserts very good. They get busy so reserve before you go.

A refreshing change from the mostly meat-dominated Tuscan eateries with a large selection of seafood choices on the menu, at reasonable prices. Our primi, or first courses of home made basil gnocchi with clams & bottarga and the ravioli filled with grouper in a rich...More

Traveling to Pisa for the first time, we just found this restaurant by accident. Seafood is excellent and very well prepared - not overcooked, not raw and just enough to still taste the freshness of the seafood. We brought our three kids with an 8...More

The Osteria San Paolo was born from the experience of Carlo Bibbiani, famous for founding one of the most famous patisseries in Pisa, and is located in a quiet and elegant place in the center of Pisa, near the beautiful church of San Paolo a ripa d'Arno after which the restaurant is named. The philosophy behind the Osteria San Paolo aims at creating a both elegant and welcoming atmosphere where customers can enjoy the excellent seafood and land first courses enriched by the imagination of our versatile chef.
