Somebody told me that there weren't good places to have dinner in Pisa. Absolutely wrong! Here you are an excellent one with very reasonable price and best service. Congratulations!

On a recent stop over we decided to eat at Il Bistrot. Upon arrival we thought the atmosphere was really nice and homely. The restaurant seats about 24 and it was nearly full. We sat down and ordered drinks obviously my wife ordered an Aperol Spritzer and I had beer. We ordered our food which was really nice and the... More

We stopped here for a rest during a leisurely amble through the streets on a warm spring Sunday. 3 hours later we had enjoyed homemade pasta, pizza and delicious desserts. We were made to feel very welcome, not rushed at all and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the sunshine, eating tasty food and putting the world to rights. Just like the... More

A nice find. Great for just a drink and something light or a great lunch or evening meal. Not standard fair of pizza and basic pasta like too many others, rather the menu is refreshingly different (try the gnocchi with vongole and the braised pork in beer on a bed of potato cream is especially nice). Well priced for the... More

The food was delicious, the service was great and the list of wines impressive. They also had 4-5 red wines by the glass (and probably similar number of whites), for those who'd rather taste more variations instead of getting a bottle. The bill can easily add up to pretty big sums (70-90 eur per couple) since everything is so good... More

We ate here twice and were delighted with the service and the food. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. On both nights the restaurant was busy with local people dining. The pork fillet with gorgonzola sauce was a big hit with my husband. The decor is quirky.

My daughter and I turned up without a reservation to find they were fully booked. The waitress checked and said they could fit us in providing we were finished dining in two hours. Plenty of time to enjoy a three course meal. I ordered the parmigiana and my daughter had the prawns to start. As much as I enjoyed my... More

Three of us stumbled on this place last Sunday night after wandering about for a while - quite a few places are not open on a Sunday night - and what a find it was. The place looks lovely, red walls, candle lit, very cosy. Good food - not massive portions but more than enough. My husband enjoyed the tiger... More

I think Il Bistrot works very hard and I like to give people who run their own businesses as much credit as they deserve as they often work tirelessly to achieve great things. Il Bistrot gets much right and deserves its plaudits/accolades. The location is good, set in a quiet square, the decor is - in the main - well... More

Located in a small beautiful square in central pisa this ambient cosy restaurant offers an attractive selection on their menu and a general welcoming feeling. As a couple we shared the parmigiana antipasto which was excellent followed by the tuna which was cooked to perfection and the gorgonzola and pepper pork fillet which was also very tasty and balanced in... Description
The bistro of my dreams is the little tiny restaurant; it’s the cute shop where you can go for a coffee or a glass of wine. It’s a place where you can eat the traditional Italian dish, sip a good wine and meet your people. It’s a place where you can chat while eating spaghetti, while learning secrets, sipping a “brunello”, or a grappa while listening to music or reading a book. Where love gets done and undone. And coffee. Where you’re early and it gets late. Here you are in my home. You are my guests and friends among friends. Here is my piano and my guitar, my books, my music; here’s the best recipe my mom gave me, and some biscotti and my grandpa’s Vinsanto wine.
