We stumbled on this restaurant while walking through port & downtown passing time till our ship sailed. It sits right behind a huge statue. The food was excellent, service a bit snooty, but good. Ambiance pleasant and upscale. Great presentation of food also. Gnocchi was awesome!

We found the restaurant in the Michelin guide when looking for somewhere on the way back to Pisa airport to have lunch. Driving through the commercial port made us wonder but finally we arrived in the marina to easily find the restaurant and, despite the roadworks, park at the front of the hotel. Unlike other reviewers we could not fault... More

The food was very good, the fish very fresh, I recommend it to try local fish. A small lack of soft drinks on the menu

After a hot morning of shopping and sightseeing in Livorno my partner and l chose the Gran Duca restaurant. As we walked the waiter rushed out and told us loudly to only on right hand side. No greeting and turned away. Being hot and thirsty we were hoping for a cool drink while we perused the menu. After 5 minutes... More

High prices, terrible food, nonexistent service. This was my worst meal in forty years of visiting Italy. Avoid at all costs!

We stayed here twice on this trip, each time for one night as it was just for a travel break. The location is really great being literally right on the harbor. On the other side of the hotel is easy access to shopping and a short walk to the market place. Rooms are small, very noisy as there is a... More

Last day in Livorno. I liked the restoration decoration and I decided to visit the restaurant. The food was perfect, but the quantities a bit small. For example, the spaghetti was too small for one person and the cost was so high for spaghetti. The green salad was made from herbs (what is the cost of lettuce) the quality was... More

This restaurant is part of the Gran Duca Hotel in Livorno. It has a small terrace. Because of the limited parking space in this old part of the town the cars are parked in front of you. Because the hotel lies on a small square it is relatively quit. The food is prepared with care, you have choice of italian... More

We were staying at the hotel attached to this restaurant, but hadn't planned to eat here. However, when we found that our venue of choice was full, we came back with no reservation, and to our surprise, were seated right away. We had three courses and a good selection of breads as an apero, Service was quite good, the place... More

We walked all over Livorno looking for a place that served fresh seafood. Walked to the Gran Duca , across from the ferry terminal. The setting was pleasant and the service attentive. 4 euro cover charge and two euro for still water,10 euros and counting. The bread was very good, different varieties and textures. The seam bream cappuccino with fresh... More
