As a coeliac I ordered a gluten free pizza, I think I don't even have to overexplain, it was wonderful and not just because it wasn't easy to get gluten free pizza in Italy. My husband ate a regular pizza saying it's been far the best pizza he had.

My husband is gluten intolerant. That makes for some challenges when traveling through Florence, Tuscany, Orvieto, Sienna, and Rome. I happened upon Ciro and Sons on Tripadvisor and decided to book lunch there after our two hour tour of the Ufizzi. My husband was so impressed with his gluten free calzone that he ordered one to go so that he... More

I had heard that Italy was full of GF options, but was so frustrated all through Italy til I made it to Florence. Ciro and Skns was a god send. I had their award-winning pizza my first night there, and a wonderful Apple almond salad that my non-GF husband raved about. So different from the bitter greens and olive-oil and... More

We had a lovely evening meal, fantastic venue, "best pizza ever" according to my daughter and I would agree. Authentic made pizza, family friendly with attentive waiters and a huge pizza oven. Will definitely be returning when we return to Florence.

Amazing location and building. The real selling point is the food, it was amazing pizza - gluten free and not! Cocktails were good, and food was prompt served with a smile! Caters for gluten and lactose free, also clear what has nuts and shellfish in. Eat inside or outside, it was wonderful last meal in florence, and for a starter,... More

We've been to Ciro and Sons on our last visit to Florence several years ago. My husband was so excited as they've won even more awards for their pizzas since then and they don't even bat an eye lid at a request for gluten free. Mine wasn't gluten free and totes amazing. I had a Vesuvius the first time and... More

This restaurant was a real find, mum had gnocchi and I had pasta with pesto. Both were such great choices. The food is authentic and so tasty, served piping hot. There were families, couples and people of all ages eating here and enjoying a fabulous atmosphere. I would heartily recommend trying this place when you are in Florence

We where here because we heard about the restaurants gluten free pizza, and wanted to try them out. My son is allergic to gluten, milk, eggs, nuts and buckwheat. When we told them that, they told us that we almost could chose every thing from the menu. When we ordered the pizza diavola they told us precisely what was in... More

We stumbled across this amazing restaurant just by chance! Wow what fabulous fresh and tasty food! Best food we've eaten since being in Italy! A little restaurant along the road side, but please sit and eat and you will not be disappointed. Great service too, all the waiters and waitresses were attentive and friendly just what you would like. Well... More

We visited this restaurant on our second night in Florence (it's closed on Sundays). It proved to be such a good choice that returned again for our final night's meal on our 3 night stay. The choice for gluten free diners is excellent as were the staff and overall experience. We would definitely recommend Ciro and Sons to all diners... More
