By the wayside stands a tree... Ruth's kosher restaurant is the representation of a tree survived from the injuries of time, giving his seeds to the empty earth to return colours to what was a grey world. In his silent music Ruth's will give to...More

Pleasant, little Kosher restaurant offering a small, but varied menu. The pasta was delicious, and the meals quite affordable.

Went there after a visit to the nearby synagogue and museum. The falafel plate was small and the tiny pita served with it was hard from being reheated too many times. The waiter seemed uninterested and never cracked a smile. The positive was that the...More

Had dinner twice at Ruth’s, on a weeknight and Friday night for Shabbat. It is right next door to the magnificent synagogue, and near the kosher butcher and bakery. It is a small restaurant. The first night we went was crazy, with so many people...More

My husband and I had the extreme pleasure of being hosted by none other than Ruth's owner, Simcha, for one of the most wonderful (and delicious!) Shabbat meals to date!! Kosher AND vegetarian (w/fish occasionally)? What more could you want? Anyway, we stopped by Ruth's...More

Stay away. They serve garbage at exhorbitant prices. The owner is a rude man. Buy your own food in the market. You can get Kosher meat. Never again.

We were advised to email the restaurant ahead of time to let them know when we would be there. Not sure we really needed to do this, though. Others seemed to just show up and get the same food (but we were a group of...More
