Our first night in Florence and after reading a couple of reviews we decided La Fettunta was well worth a try. The food was out of this world, the atmosphere was relaxing and the service was second to none. The Nonna there even told us we had ordered too much, so we took her advice and she was 100% correct.... More

We came here looking to eat Florentine steak without breaking the bank and we couldn't have been happier about our choice. Cheaper than most places we saw (about 35 euros for over a Kg of steak) but still authentic and truly delicious! They serve with seasoned with only salt, pepper and olive oil and grill it perfectly with great char... More

Places like this are the ones that make you want to come back to Florence. Let me Just say that every single employee in this restaurant was so nice and attentive, specially Anita in the charcuterie side of the restaurant. Anita made us feel like home. She recommended the house wine which was delicious. She made us a nice tapas... More

Vey rustic restaurant but well-kept, friendly staff. Excellent food. I ate the gnocchi of Sorrento, the cheese cake at dinner and at lunch a pizza with cheese and ham. extraordinary.

The queues here are a sign of how good this place is. I waited 1 hour 30 minutes for my table..... and I would still give this restaurant the full 5 stars. Recommend you get here before you're proper hungry, put your name down on the list, and then pop to the sandwich /deli shop to the right hand side... More

I had a focaccia in the small part of La Fettunta and oh my goodness it was delicious. Going in I had no idea what I was going to have but the lady working was so helpful and friendly, that we had a plan for my focaccia in seconds! I had turkey, tomato, garlic sauce, onions and rocket. Just wow.... More

Bisteca, pasta and Salumi!!! So good! The bisteca was almost 1,3kgs and we ordered a salumi dish to share together with some focaccia bread and a pasta plate and we paid 64€ total! I find it very reasonable for a restaurant for tourist in the center of Firenze! Very good!! They have a restaurant on the next door where they... More

This place does close between lunch and dinner. It opens around 6pm for dinner (for us early bird Americans). The riboletta soup and pici pasta with meat and mushroom sauce is outstanding. The roast beef and turkey platter is good (great fries). The place is tight and has a few tables (maybe 12?). I watched an American couple come in,... More

Stumbled across this place and I am so glad that I did - buzzing atmosphere and very very busy- you need to book unless you are prepared to wait but it will be worth it! The Florentine Steak looked amazing but was too much for my Mum and I to manage - the menu is rustic as is the decor... More

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
