I came to this restaurant for the second time. I am impressed with the quality of the food. It is really tasty and the staff are very nice and welcoming. We had several plates to share. All was good. I highly recommend the papaya salad, beef with coconut curry, the fried rice and the mango with sticky rice. The ambience... More

Saw this restaurant en route to Hotel and fancied a change of cuisine having eaten traditional Italian food for the previous evenings. It advertises both Thai and Japanese in equal measure and as Thai fans we decided to try it. Mistake! The restaurant is clean and quite spacious. The staff are very business like and cold. The menu is 90 percent Japanese so... More

Dear Robbosail, thanks for taking time in writing this review and letting us know your feedback. But is it possible that you have mistaken the restaurant you got into? There's a nearby restaurant that has imitated ours advertising japanese and thai food that seems to match your description. In NIWA restaurant there's a good variety of Thai food and if... More

We went to Niwa hoping to get some nice Asian and Japanese food since we were tired of Italian food. We ordered couple of items like sushi, thai curry, satay, dim sum and few more. The sushi's were amazing, the Satay was nice and the dim sum was very nice. We were a little disappointed with the speed of the... More

The place is well located and has decent food... the sushis are average and decent (you will not get sick) but this place won't get your really flavory sushi and sashimi. Price / quality: price is quite high compared to the food you will get... this will get you full, but you will not have quality Service: average... the staff... More

The cuisine is Asian, Thai, and Indian. The restaurant is well appointed and clean. The lunch menu is fairly limited, but reasonably priced. The service can be slow. Reasonably value at about EUR 10 for lunch.

We visited his restaurant as we were craving sushi & it was close to our hotel. Very happy we did! We ordered 3 rolls of sushi (rainbow, prawn & avo, chicken) and they were all really fresh & delicious. The sushi rolls ranged from €8 right up to €20 each. We had 3 rolls, a coke & water which came... More

I ordered take away food: thai food, sushi and temaki. 1) they put sushi and hot that food in the same bag, result sushi was HOT! 2) the temaki was the worst maguro temaki in the history of temaki... tuna was so bad and smelly I could not finish it.

Too much sugar in the thai curries. One of us had massaman and the other green curry, both made with chicken. While both these curries need a bit of sugar, certainly they didn't need so much. The massaman was mostly just potatoes with off cuts of chicken added. The green curry was breast bits that were very much like compacted sawdust.... More

It's nice that Florence now boasts a (partly) Thai restaurant however, being the only game in town, they are able to charge a premium. Small portions, high prices, decent quality, conservative selection. Just about what you'd expect from a European city's first Thai restaurant.

Description
Like a garden (this is the origin of the name), in a friendly atmosphere of light, colours and scents. A relaxing environment where you can taste the refined flavours of the Japanese cuisine and the less known but equally sublime of the Thai cuisine. A journey to a corner of modern Asia, to be spent in the intimacy in the room with tatami booths or under the magic of colours and stillness in the room with the vertical garden in search of ancient flavors of the Eastern cuisine.
