This restaurant was the highlight of the meals on our last trip to Italy. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we went twice! It was by chance that we came across I' Mangiarino and the rustic menu won us over. Admittedly, the service was a little slack, but the quality of the food more than made up for... More

The restaurant is very small but full of character. I suggest booking in advance. The starters were amazing especially the Carpaccio, which was one of the best I had in my week in Italy. The big problem is with the service. An old lady was trying her best to serve all the tables, and she was trying her best to... More

Had reservations for 8 pm, seated promptly....then it started to decline. The son of the owner was too busy with 2 young girls seated after our arrival to pay any attention to us, even though mom pointed out that we were waiting. He finally came to our table 15 minutes after being seated...we placed our order. Food was good and... More

We arrived without a reservation but were happy when we managed to get a table after a short wait. However, our experience of the food was mixed. We started by sharing the Crostini Del Mangiarino which was absolutely delicious, followed by pasta with wild boar sauce for me which was so tasty and had lots of flavour. However, my friend’s... My cousin and I tumbled into this sweet, little Osteria and were so surprised to find welcoming and friendly staff there. :) The traditional Italin food was very delicious, as well as the wine itself; I would definitely recommend their Ravioli e Gnocchi della Casa :) But I can say that the most amazing thing was when the manager treated... It is a family run, small restaurant. On the front cover of the menu, it says "slow eating". We went there at lunch hours and fortunately had a table. It's very busy time and one had to wait for ordering, serving and cooking of the food. Yet it is worth it. Food is good. Service is friendly. Time passed fast... More

We had a very nice meal here. We picked it out during the day of sightseeing and had our hotel make us a reservation for dinner, which turned out to be essential. Food was typical Florentine cuisine, but good. The staff was nice and we had a lovely time.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
