Excellent little place serving the most delicious snacks to eat in and take away. Great for vino and pizza on the go and popular with locals and tourists alike. Worth a visit!

This is without a doubt the best pizza bar in the city! We ate here on a day trip in 2011 and purposefully sought it out when we visited Firenze again recently. We normally have a policy of not eating at the same place twice during a trip but we made an exception for Pizzeria Toto!!

perfect pizza for good price (3€ big slice or 7-8€ whole normal size pizza - places around are much more expensive - 10-15 € for pizza and food is not that good), cozy place, friendful staff

If you want Italian pizza, but aren't totally into Gusta's, Toto's would be a good place to try. The pizza is delicious, and they have quite a few types on the menu. When I've been there, it's never been overly crowded and service was fast. The two workers were very pleasant too.

Wow came across Toto by accident. So glad we did. Pizza's were awesome, but best of all staff were so friendly and hospitipal. Introduced us to some great local biscotte and wine. Eat in at their qwerky bar, or take away. We did a little of both. Thanks so much.... 😆

Very close to Academy Gallery museum, a tiny place where you can find a deli pizza with great prices. From 19:00 to 23:00 hrs all the pizzas less than 8€ are at 6€. This works if you want to eat a non margherita/marinara pizza, in every place are max 5€. You can also have a regular plastic glass of wine... More

I guess this is the kind of place we look for - super simple but with outstanding food. Especially fun was the glass of wine from a small barrel for 1.5 euro.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
