The panino is just awesome, huge, with quite an amount of fillings. I took the porchetta, which is the speciality of the region, and not disappointed - it was wonderful. The price is fine, as such big panino is just 5 EUR. You can take a sit in the small shop (looking out the small passage) or just take it... More

We visit this place because of good rating on TripAdvisor. The "panini" were not good at all: old bread, not easy to eat. One of our sandwiches was supposed to be with mozzarella, but when we open it there were just a few grams of it.

My boyfriend and I went there in the afternoon, we both ordered bread bums with meatballs inside and two coke. The meatballs were nice but bums weren't as crispy and fresh as I hoped. Maybe it is due to the odd hour we went like 4pm. The bill was rather cheap, was total of 15 euro for both of us.

This was a very cute little casual place with what seemed to be authentic Florence meals. My husband is vegan and there were several good options. It was a good break from traditional pizza and pasta too. Try one of the soups!

We choose this restaurant cause we wanted to taste a panini, a cooked dish and also seat on a table instead of standing on the basement! We don't like prosciutto so I took a panini with finocchiona and asked for a different panini, the number 2 but instead of prosciutto we wanted mortadella. By the way our request was ok... More

The best panini I ever ate. The prosciutto crudo was excellent and the tomatoes really tasteful. Going back to try the others

Hete is a thing. I liked this tiny market/lunch spot close to but secluded from the main tourist route. To me - 5 stars. My wife hated it. Purshuto not cured enough blah blah ...mozarella not great blah blah. For her : 1 star. So finding her in the middle, 3 stars. Quick meal with bread, purshuto, mozarella, salad, tomatoes,... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
