The b and b we stayed at in Florence was just down the street from this restaurant We were told the menu had a lot to choose from so we went there. The logo on their card is a paint pallet and two artists brushes. It fits since the are artistic with their food. We enjoyed the meal and they... More

We ate her for lunch. Great pastas. Highly recommend the Rigatoni with Eggplant (melezana). Friendly staff. The only downside was that the bread was not good.

The Florentine steak and house red is the best meal I have ever had hands down. Been there twice, in 2015 and 2016 and both times did not disappoint. Has a real authentic Local Tuscan feel.

Had the fixed price tourist menu here and wine. Decent enough and service ok but slightly disappointed given previous reviews - not many Locals in on a Saturday night.

We arrived and great start with service. We had antipasto toscano and ribollita and then tagliatelle with lampredotto and veal steak. Food was really great and had a nice red wine Morellino. Really wonderful time and great meal.

On a bus tour of the "Best of Italy" (Trafalgar) with 3 couples who have never been to this beautiful country. Walked over a mile to this restaurant that I had experienced twice before, the last time about 20 yrs ago, with our friends. The whole experience was wonderful, to say the least. Hope to return. The fellow in the... More

What a find! We are glad a local recommended this place because it is one of his favorite places. Jackamo was our server and he made suggestions which were perfect. After asking which soup he would suggest, he told me two - Carabaccia and Zappa de Farro. Then he said he would bring me 1/2 bowl of each. Good thing... More

Trattoria del Pannello may look outdated, simple, unsophisticated, even dull by comparison to a lot of other places nearby, and it is to some extent, but this doesn't detract from the quality of the food. Like a step back in time, the food here is simpler, evocative of a what you'd expect from 60's era Italy. Comfort food, you might... More

This restaurant is not extravagant or pretentious. The food is simple, fast and good. The staff is courteous and helpful. Nothing really stands out of the ordinary. It is exactly what you would think of if i told you a classic Italian dinner. There are probably many other places in Florence that are almost identical. However, what it intends to... More

Surprised that it was not as expensive as indicated. I would give no more than $$$. The food was great. It's on a small side street off the main square in Florence. Night lights and art was awesome

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
