I was recommended this restaurant by a well travelled business person friend of mine and a complete "foodie". We booked a couple of days in advance, just as well, we went last Monday, 20th, October, early and by the time we left, it was heaving,...More

We had a fantastic meal here. This is a very 'homey' place, with Mama Giovanna providing plenty of comfort and hospitality. The menu was simple and delicious - be sure to take Mama's advice. Staff were excellent, and the ambience was lovely. What really made...More

Everything we had was fresh and delicious and the service was great! Had some great shrimp risotto, appetizer platter, spaghetti with clams and a wonderful chocolate mousse cake for dessert. I will go again when I come back to Florence!

If this restaurant were in a more conspicuous location, you wouldn't get in the place. Anything on the menu is going to be good. House wine is excellent and the prices very reasonable. Two weeks in Italy left me feeling that I wished every meal...More

After a long walk from Ponte Vecchio, we reached Trattoria Pandemonio which we found from Tripadvisor.. Typical Italian restaurant setting with a friendly atmosphere, hearing English all over the tables without any locals makes you feel you are in a tourist trap unfortunately.. Although we...More

Trattoria Pandemonio offers a delightful ambience for a pleasant dinner or relaxing lunch. Although it tends to offer good local cuisine with some added twists, it is often guilty of inconsistency. One day it surprises you with great dishes (such as excellent fettuccine with pies),...More

We eat here once or twice a year. Food and service are very good. A little out of the way, but worth the trip.

This restaurant came recommended to us and it's easy to see why. A pleasant walk from our apartment rental in Florence, we were delighted to not need a reservation (probably because we were early as most tourists seem to be). When we entered the building...More

Somewhat hidden away, but only a few hundred meters from the Arno, this local spot is well worth the effort to find. The mixed aperitivo is more than enough for two, and both excellent and varied. As main courses both the risotto and taggliata steak...More

Santo Spirito / San Frediano
A warm evening with a cocktail in your hand and great
company is the ideal way to experience Piazza Santo
Spirito; the area is busiest at sunset for happy hour.
Visitors cannot hide their astonishment sitting on the
staircase under the Basilica of Santo Spirito, and
they cannot help but stare at the architectural
masterpieces like Bianca Cappello House, Fontana dello
Sprone and San Frediano in Cestello and Santa Maria

In our menu there is always a kind of risotto ... even two. It depends on the seasonality of the products. Mamma Giovanna
