Reviews was good and nearby hotel so we gave it a try. Sadly disappointed because pasta with meat sauce very likely canned, taste improved with fresh herbs. Pizza sadly the frozen sort, mushrooms on it were of the canned variety . Sautéed potatoes was good. I didn't like the uni and dried fish row pasta. Tasted salty and fishy but... More

Fine for a simple lunch while checking out tourist attractions. Polite staff and decent food, but not much to get excited about.

This is a really nice small restaurant with a mix of Tuscan and Sardinian good. Both the lasagne and the tagliatelle (spaghetti Bolognese equivalent) were fantastic. Not too expensive, lovely atmosphere and definitely recommended by me!

Supposedly authentic Sardinian and Tuscan cuisine was disappointing and touristy. Service was friendly. Sardinian house red tasted of vinegar. The wild boar may have never been outdoors as it had no resemblance to previous dishes I had loved and hoped to replicate. Try Coquinarius instead in the same area.

Having eaten at trattorias all over Florence across the last three years, I can safely say this is by far the worst experience I've had. My wife had a Greek salad and I ordered a meat dish, which arrived cold (the centre of the piece of meat I bit into was a fridge level of cold). I told the waiter,... More

Nice food, good prices, friendly service. Its tucked away behind the Duomo so a little off the tourist track - eaough to make it a good value find. I believe the owners are Sardinian

The restaurant was very busy which I always take to be a good sign. As it's a tourist area you can pretty much assume this would be the case but nevertheless it has a great buzz about it. The food was really tasty and well seasoned which is all I ever want in truth. The menu was pretty extensive so... More

Nice food, variety of choices. The service was good too, a very gentle young lady served us. It wasnt that busy so we got enough attention. Music wasnt on but would be nice to have a slow music going on.

This restaurant was quite a surprise, we were just walking in the streets, hungry and a bit tired and we found this place. We were quite early so it was nearly empty when we entered but it soon filled in and absolutely all the customers turned out to be French! I guess the place must be in a French guide... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
