On the way to the church of Santa Croce is this cute rustic little Italian pizzeria. The menu is pretty extensive but we went specifically for the famed pizzas. And oh boy they did not disappoint. The simple Marinara with the garlic and basil or...More

We really enjoyed Il Pizzaiuolo. The service was excellent, the food superb, prices very fair and the atmosphere was quaint, exactly what you would expect in an authentic Italian pizzaria. We enjoyed pizza at several restaurants, and Il Pizzaiuolo was the best. Make a reservation,...More

Came here with my family and it was amazing! The pizza is incredible, full of flavour, great texture and not too heavy. Dad has pasta and the sauce.... Wow. Just amazing and 8 to 12 euros. Must visit.

Pizza was ok, a little soggy i thought and my beautiful girlfriend had pasta, which was a bit salty. Wine was good and meal was affordable. Wouldn't go back again, rather, I'll try someplace else.

Santa Croce
Stop and stare at the beauty and symmetry of the
Basilica of Santa Croce any time day or night.
Unraveling around it are a number of architectural and
artistic masterpieces, from the Synagogue to the
Central National Library. As a hub for young people,
the area gets busy with people who want to have fun: a
continuous flow of tourists and locals become animated
by songs and dances.

I was there two years ago and the prices were great - we ordered burrata, pizza and wine for two and paid less than 30 euros.

What is the best way to make a reservation? And how far in advance should we make one? Thanks!
