The warmest welcome, and brownie points for using any Italian you can muster. Tiny, quirky place set up to resemble a tram (almost as small and narrow: seats only 24) Food is seasonal, local and thoughtful. Loved the polenta with the transparent slice of lard, the fried squash flowers; the panacotta is suitably wobbly and the forest fruit version was... More

A very small neighborhood place serving up very good traditional cuisine. This place seems always full so best to have a booking. We myself, wife and 17 year old daughter) were treated in a very friendly way and enjoyed an excellent lunch. Not a cheap place but the quality of the preparations made it for sure a great value.

It was very full (6th Jan, Epiphany, we needed to book) and we were tucked in the back room between the entrance and the kitchen. However, food was great! Good size portions, good value (especially the wine), and a fantastic atmosphere. We will definitely return!

Great traditional food revisited, very tasty and rich. My favourite shrimps and beans salad, very rich starter. Then don't miss traditional Lampredotto or stir fried kidneys, sound awful but it's delicious. A lot of stuff can be made gluten free, so what more? Enjoy

Very good local food in a small & cozy environment in Sanfrediano, a bit off the beaten path but still at walking distance from tourist areas. Friendly service, but very slow, don't come if you are in a rush. All local dishes, well done but perhaps a bit too expensive given the home-y environment. The "vino della casa" is all... More

We arrived here during a rain storm knowing nothing about it, except that it was close and it was dry inside. What a pleasure then to have such a good meal: very good cured meats (Toscano antipasto), good primi, and then an excellent parmigiano di melanzane. The interior is charming: like the interior of a tram. Very good efficient service.... More

We were brought here by long time Florentine friends for a genuine locals experience. (Although it appears that some tourists have found the place, no doubt thanks to people like me who write about it, shame on me). But it is out of the tourist area, there is little English spoken, the food was hearty and excellent. The wine comes... More

What a great restaurant! Arrive early because it fills up quick and is small. I had the pork fillet and my wife had the pork meatballs. Both were amazing. We had a bottle of wine, bruschetta and tiramisu. All freshly made and absolutely delicious. Great find.

This is a small, family operated restaurant as others have confirmed, featuring well-made traditional Italian food and catering pre-dominantly to locals. In other words, if you seek an authentic Italian dining experience, this is your spot. The house red is very palatable, the ribolita excellent, the desserts satisfying, and the prices very reasonable considering the portions. It definitively has atmosphere,... More
