We could not get in without a booking so booked for the next night. Dishes are traditional -- this place has been around for 150 years. My partner had spaghetti and Flirentine steak. I had crossing and deviled rabbit which was great. Teo desserts and a bottle of wine came to just over €100, which we thought was great for... More

We visited this restaturant three times whihc might seem a bit like overkill to some but my husband's fodness for good tripe (Tripa a la Fiorentina) knows no bounds... My only reget with this restaurant is that we didn't order one of the HUGE cuts of beef that the waiter proudly displays before cooking and after. It looked succulent. I... More

Great time in there, Florence steak is amazing! It is worth to try.

This is a very popular restaurant despite being a bit difficult to locate. The pasta and veal dishes were both very good. The pineapple desert was rather plain.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Antico Fattore. The shared the steak between two of us. It was a thick Porterhouse cut that was very flavorful. My wife ordered the osso buco which she thoroughly enjoyed. We were offered a stuffed squash that was so good. We also enjoyed a bottle of Rosso di Montalcino that was very nice. While... More

After one year, another visit to Florence ant the restaurant Antico Fattore. The atmosphere was still nice and charming and the staff friendly, as we remembered. The Bistecca alla Fiorentina, for which we came, was excellent, as expected - the meat very good quality, the cooking perfect. The accompanying wine was smooth and nice (their list offers good bottles for... More

Our hotel reserved a table and we were pleased as it was very busy. The food was excellent, the setting great, the only thing it lacked as the personal attention from the staff that we had experienced in all the other restaurants we had used during our stay. That said, they were polite and helpful but lacked that personal touch... More

The food and service is wonderful,(worth booking in advance to ensure a table)as a popular spot with the locals. All come for the steak Florentine but I would recommend anything from the menu, all good simple but tasteful Italian fare.I am not a wine drinker but other guests seemed to be delighted with the choice on offer,

I ordered 1KG Bistecca F.NA with out fillet (T-bone steak), which is "€4.5/ 100g". So i expected €45 for my steak. However my bill came out €54 for the steak. So I asked the waiter about it and he murmured. I assumed he was saying they could not fabricate exact kilogram so I got 1.2kg = € 54. I just... More

A typically old school Florence trattoria, Antico Fattore is an original taste of the city's history, dating back to 1929. In this era local creatives would flock to Antico Fattore on a Wednesday to be fed by proprietor and local character Giulio. Giulio may be long gone, along with many of his historic patrons, but the convivial Antico Fattore atmosphere remains. In this old building, where an original wooden beamed ceiling remains and modern design is only of fleeting concern, guests continue to flock to enjoy lingering glasses of wine, intelligent conversation and superb Italian food. The renowned recipes have been handed down and remain as much part of the restaurant's history as past patrons.
