After failing to get into several restaurants which were full, we came across Il Barroccio, which was completely empty and decided to try it. It was by far the best restaurant we had eaten in during our 9 days in Florence and one of the...More

We asked the owner of the apartment where we lived in our short visit to Florence a recommendation for a typical Tuscan restaurant where the locals eat. In a city overrun by tourists, such as Florence, it is hard to believe that there are also...More

This cosy inviting trattoria was recommended to us by a local and we were not disappointed! Good food, great host and everyone in our group enjoyed the food. Our teenage boys loved the pasta and lasagne. Fantastico!

We have dined here all of our trips to Florence. Giovanni has always welcomed us with marvelous food and wine. We ate with him 6 times this last time. He often greeted us with, "Let me prepare... for you tonight." It was always delicious.

We found Il Barroccio to be a treasure. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. The owner was so kind, it was raining and he ordered us cab to get us back to the station. A most wonderful experience.

I discovered this gem of a restaurant about 20 years ago and I've dined here almost every time I've visited ever since. It's been over ten years since my last visit to Florence, but I'll make sure to include it in my itinerary on my...More

Overall a nice experience. We went for an early dinner at 645pm. The waiter was welcoming and suggested a wine for us to drink-- a delicious red. I don't remember the name of the bottle, but it went down smoothly! We wanted the carpaccio, but...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city
