this restaurant, with the warm and special hospitality of giovanni and his stuff, on top of amazing traditional tuscan and italian dishes is my first choice for important event dinners.

Very good service and food, beautiful atmosphere. Elegant Italian restaurant but not too overwhelming. We had the spaghetti with black truffle for starter and Bistecca alla Fiorentina for main. Both very enjoyable. Wine recommendation was spot on. We enjoyed the attention and good sense of...More

It was a very popular place, so I had a high expectation. Service was great but food was somewhat mediocre. I was surprised by it since my foodie friend recommended this place. I may have ordered a wrong dish. I ordered a seafood pasta. Unfortunately,...More

Well, we certainly hope you have fun in Venice; what an awesome trip. We thank you so much for you comments and look forward to seeing you upon your return.

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city

At L’Osteria di Giovanni we not only maintain strict allegiance to traditional Tuscan dishes (including many antique recipes that are not commonly used these days), but we also experiment with new flavours and combinations, whilst remaining faithful to local and season produce. Popular new dishes include smoked duck breast on rocket salad and dressed in balsamic vinaigrette, tortelli stuffed with pear and pecorino, with leek and paprika sauce, pici with sausage and kale, and lamb slow-cooked with artichokes. We stronly believe that your restaurant experience should be unique and satisfying on every front. We look forward to welcoming you one day to L'Osteria di Giovanni.
