Arrived in Florence this afternoon and went for a first stroll. Found this place by accident and just liked the looks. Reception was more than friendly despite the fact that we did not have a reservation, the waiter was more than attentive and that did the trick for us. He knew full well that we were tourists, still approached us... More

Had early dinner one night, food was really really good! My partner had been 2 years before and she went on a recommendation from a friend who had been many years before that. It's really worth a visit if in Florence . This is quite small so you will need to book if you want to be certain of a... More

Down in the little back streets hide many diamonds in the dust, this must be one of the best. Though you pay for it. We went without booking - a mistake - it was packed, but luckily they fitted us in. It was tight. The staff were lovely, kind and willing to translate and explain the menu if needed (we... More

We went to Trattoria 4 Leoni on a local's recommendation and so glad we did. We shared a salad which was plenty for 2, and I had the Tagliata di manzo con crutin - the recommended dish by the person who sent us here. It was lovely - tender beef in a tasty sauce that had depth to it. Would... More

The menu is rather limited in choices, but the quality of what is served is good. Limited wine list, a bit crowed outside but inside there a smaller rooms. Of course a lot of tourists, but if you ask they find you another place.

Went for dinner to 4 Leoni on the advice of a friend. Ordered an antipasto of "Crostini Misti" and it was very tasty. For the "Primo Piatto" or first course, we shared the pasta called "Fiocceti di pera in salsa" and it was out of this world delicious. For the second entree, I ordered the "Tagliata di manzo con crutin"... More

Absolutely the best meal in Florence. First we were with locals and ate family style. Byron our waiter just kept bringing food. Ranging from raviolis, scaloppina, lombattina to verdure e burrata. Everything was shared and was outstanding. The service was impeccable. the experience was terrific. It was a most memorable night. We can't wait to go back.

One of the best flavors ever. The menu read : Artichokes with Lard and Pecorino. I asked the waiter and he said it was one of their bet dishes so I ordered it. Absolute heaven. Young artichokes cooked with bacon on top and a slice of pecorino romano cheese melted. What a treat! I would not have thought to order... More

Not enough vegeterian options. I ordered soup, ribolitana. This was a stew, not a soup, could not eat it since it was not tasty, they saw it but charged full price, also chareged me 30% tip! I sat there for 15 minutes! Maybe they are good with meat. It was romantic and not sutible for solo traveller . Also the... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
