The food was delicious from beginning to end. The truffle fondue - amazing! Soups - yum. Pastas - just right. Chocolate cake - yes! Not to mention the hospitality of the owner & her husband truly made for a lovely evening. You felt like you were in their home. Go & enjoy.

We looked for this restaurant for an early lunch. We have been traveling through Europe and Italy for three weeks - this was the most amazing meal had enjoyed, out of many! We sat outside and enjoyed that it is tucked away on a quiet street. I ordered a chicken marsala dish, my better half ordered a ravioli with crunchy... More

We ate here several times because chef Paula and her husband Franco made you feel that you were at mama's house. The grilled steak was huge, but couldn't beat the fillet in Chianti sauce.make room for the chocolate cake and Paula's special biscotti.

As we were staying at the B&B next door, we ate at the Pozzo and enjoyed super cooked to perfectiont Chianina meats as Florentine steak or Tagliata. The antipasti were good (Bruschetta with paté and salami/prosciuto selection) Classic soups and pasta. Nice wine selection or by the glass.

The owners of this restaurant are charming and friendly. The food is terrific and the prices very good value. The menu is not huge but everything is fresh and excellent and they cater to vegetarians, and also have seasonal specials.

Paula, the proprietor, is an amazing cook and hostess. She uses the best ingredients, and her dishes are very special. She gives you such a warm welcome, and her husband makes sure you drink excellent wine at a very reasonable price. Everything is home made, including her delicious and potent limoncello. In summer, there is a delightful internal courtyard. I... More

We had visited this restaurant on three previous occasions during the past couple of years and attended Paola's (the owner and chef) excellent cooking class. We sat in the delightful courtyard and at Paola's suggestion had the house salad and sformatina and then chose the porcini risotto and the steak with porcini and shared a large plate of potatoes. All... More

We chose Cortona because of a cooking class we had scheduled. To our surprise, Paoula, our hotel owner, is also the chef and owner of the restaurant in the Hotel Dplce Maria, the building where the restaurant is located. Paoula also does cooking classes but in Italian. Claudio, our server, charmed us with his service and also with his knowledge.... More

I had made a reservation at this restaurant 3 weeks before our arrival in Cortona and had told Poala that this was my wife`s birthday and our wedding anniversary. The day of our arrival at 4PM in the afternoon I received a text saying that they were closed because it was their day off. When I made the reservation and... More

Yes, a major disappointment due to the poor value for money. The funghi porcini (excellent) and the pasta al tartufo (just ok) priced at € 19 and € 14 respectively but the plates were really small. Same for the antipasti (€ 9). Definitely too expensive for what it was and I bet there are several other restaurants offering better or... More
