We stumbled upon this place while in the market for some fruit. The taste and entire experience brought happy tears to my eyes. The absolute highlight of our trip and a truly unforgettable meal. The absolute highlight of our trip in Sicily.

Yep, you have a long wait, especially at lunchtime. But it is worth it. The maestro puts on a good show, chatting amiably to everybody in the (long) queue while preparing his fabulous (cold only) sandwiches. Remember - you have no say what goes in...More

The Sandwich guy is a legend and the sandwiches are terrific and cheap. Best 5 Euro sandwich you can buy. Be prepared to wait in line because each sandwich is custom made and it takes him time to make each one. The sandwich is piled...More

It is not a restaurant, more like a deli. For our first time there, they prepared a sample platter of their meats and cheeses with some bread which we sat and ate like a meal. It was filling! On my second visit i ordered the... More

You can easily wait an hour.......but it's lots of fun. It's a "friendly line". Good luck.

street food of Ortigia. Dairy Borderi serves a wide range of products and typical Sicilian cheeses made by hand. We are in the market of Ortigia, and the place we serve our sandwiches and platters. We carry out the catering service and ship all over the world.
