Fresh from a "misadventure" a few minutes earlier in another pastry shop in Bari, I was on the safe side. And in fact I found the staff very friendly and efficient. Very quick service and, above all, really high quality products. I would like to point out the single portion with peanuts which enhances a fabulous mix of chocolate, hazelnut and peanuts. You can certainly see the passion and pastry art of Pastry Chef Salvatore Petriella. It's worth it. Excellent value for money

Bar very elegant and refined also because it could not be otherwise since it is right next to the Petruzzelli Theatre. Delicious and quality desserts, even if they cost something more, but at least once you have to try the semifreddo cake that is a masterpiece of taste. Recommended

I stopped at this elegant bakery in the center of coffins for a coffee and a nice tray of pastries. All very good.
To review the organization. I queued three times and everyone at the end of the queue bounced me off a colleague. The last one asked me to go back to the starting point, like the game of goose. Nothing's happened, but you don't treat a customer like that, you leave an idea of disorganization.

The Petriella pastry shop for me, as for many, was a must in Bari, but unfortunately I speak to the past. Finding yourself serving relatives a moldy panettone on Christmas Day was not pleasant. I warned them about it, too, but they totally ignored me.

Attention Petriella: the quality has worsened over the years. The desserts are always excellent, but the aperitif can no longer be had. Yesterday we ordered 4 non-alcoholic aperitifs and 2 portions of appetizers (so-called food), basically 2 complete aperitifs and 2 drinks. Cost at the table including service Euro 44.00. So ONLY 11 Euros each compared to 14 or 16 previously. Okay, these are the prices of the Bari market. But this is not the quality to which Petriella had accustomed us. I tasted a dry panzerottino, a stale sandwich with mortadella, some unsuitable couscous, a piece of focaccia heated in the microwave, a hardened breadcrumb tart and some fried and refried breasts. But it's not the first time I've received poor quality appetizers recently. What a pity! Before, the aperitifs were varied and delicious. I'm talking about the headquarters near Petruzzelli. Where years ago I ordered a catering of rustic dishes and delicious sweets, where you served tempura and hot croquettes, where stopping with friends before or after the theater was a pleasure. Yesterday, on Tuesday, before the opera, perhaps due to too many customers, you weren't up to par. Good waiter, who was kind and professional. He offered me a ginger beer, as an alternative to my friends' fruit cocktail. He even asked if we liked it. I didn't express my doubts with him. Will you be able to correct the worsening trend? FORCE!

The first thing that stands out is the total lack of organization, despite the fact that many people work there. The lady in charge sends a confusion the girls instead of standing at the checkout, some customers are sent to make the receipt and lose their seats in line to others who were behind and who are not made to make the same receipt. People sitting outside came in asking for explanations because they had been waiting to receive the order for several minutes. And there wasn't much of a crowd so everything could be handled very well.

After a busy morning strolling around Bari Vecchia we went to do some shopping in the bustling town centre .After finding a bargain or two we decided to have a treat and what better place than this delightful pasticceria .The only difficult moment was deciding which of the wide variety of cakes to choose!!The staff were extremely good at describing the cakes and our taste buds were already excited. You cant go wrong what ever you choose.Yes sweet delight indeed xx

Thank you very much. We had
an extremely good explanation and recommendation from the English speaking waitress. Unfortunately I forgot her name.

We stumbled across this place as we meandered around Bari and have visited several times due to the unbelievable desserts. These can be taken as full size or a selection of bite size... and what a selection. Wow they are amazing and can be boxed to take away to enjoy by the sea walk, if they last that long!
The food choices are delicious too with buffet style salads alongside more traditional savoury pastries.
Prices are very reasonable and we found the staff to be friendly and helpful, they always find an English speaking member of staff to help us overcome our shocking Italian!
Often lots of locals here so we know we’ve made a good choice when we visit.

Title says all. Take the hot chocolate or the "capuccino al ciocolate" and prepare for a chocolatsplosion. Extraordinary ! Notice the one we went is close to the red theater - via salvatore cognetti. Go there !

I went there for lunch and was delighted by the number of veggies options (cold / medium warm) on offer that I could choose from (in a buffet type). I don't know it is like that every day though.
I have tested different Sicilian mini-cakes (cassata etc..) : lighter as it felt without less sugar. Very good experience for me..

This pastry shop is attached to the Petruzzelli theatre in Bari and is not very big. Desserts and coffee are good.

Good ice cream and pastry, excellent especially macarons made fresh by the pastry chef, instead of ordered from France as others do
