What a great meal! The servers were lovely. The food - incredible! I had the tagliatelle asparagus (a special for that day) and my husband had the bigoli. For our mains, he had the bacala and I had the rabbit & polenta. We also drank a litre of the house red and had a delicious chocolate dessert. We really enjoyed... More

Beatiful place near Arena. Very quick service and people were very friendly. The spaghetti with asparagus are good but not excellent. Good price for Verona

We were recommended to "Il Ciottolo" by the receptionist at Novo Hotel Rossi where we were staying. It was so good that we had three evening meals there during our stay in Verona. The restaurant serves an interesting menu of well cooked and presented dishes and caters for vegetarians. The dish of cheese starter was wonderful as were main meals... More

Eat like a local and visit Osteria Il Ciottolo! The macaroni with rabbit was outstanding and the valpolicella steak was delicious. The star of the show was the horse with pasta. So simple, but simply delicious. I am sure some people will not want to try horse, but it is just meat, folks. Get over it and try that dish!... More

One of our friends suggested this restaurant so for my boyfriends birthday we made a reservation. When we arrived we were welcomed like we were usual clients. They gave us a table and when the waitress arrived she was so polite and smiling she explained us everything. They gave us a free white wine glass as soon as we sat... More

Was visiting Verona with my English partner and we decided to go to the Osteria Il Ciotolo for proximity and reviews, it was indeed a great decision; the service was spot on and everyone was extremely friendly, food came out in a decent time whilst we were having a delicious antipasto with local cold cuts (I am Italian myself never... My husband and I visited Verona in December for a mini break. On our first night we were wandering around trying to find somewhere to eat, when we stumbled upon Il Ciottolo. What a find! They were fully booked, but kindly squeezed us in. The menu is really varied and caters for vegetarians too. We were told all the pasta... More

We had an appetizer with plenty of typical cheeses and cold cuts, then we had tagliolini with sausage and pumkin. Good flavour but to many whole pumkin pieces. Then we had brasato with amarone (typical wine) and polenta. Excellent flavour despite that it didn't look very good on the plate. For dessert we had apple cake with cinnamon. It was... More

We took the plate of cheese cuts and the horse meat pasta and the lasagna al forno. Good place for a quick fix before resuming the visit of the city. Honest in what they offer and gentle treatment of the staff. Everything for less than 40 euros, two glasses of red wine included.
