I went to Harry's Bar with my wife to enjoy their most famous Bellini in one of the world's most famous Bars. The Bellini was ok but nothing special, the Bartender was a bit arrogant and the drink very pricy. If you love Bars it is one of those you have to visit for its history but unfortunately the reality... More

We have been practicing the Harry's bar on numerous occasions since countless years : nothing changed, and it's fine this way. Fabulously elegant service and delightful food at "normal" prices. Years have no grip on this place and we trust we'll keep going there in the years to come with the same pleasure. Keep it that way folks !!! Mr... More

Visited yesterday lunchtime for a Bellini and last night for a meal. We enjoyed both visits, ok it is a little expensive, but we found the food and drinks to be very satisfactory. It is not fine dining, but it does not profess to be. Neither of us smoke or drink at home so we paid probably what some couples... More

we were told by so many people that "we had to go to Harrys Bar" as this is where the first Bellini was made and they are amazing. I thought it would be full of information about how it all came about etc but when we walking in the bar was tiny and not that impressive. We sat at the... More

Nice historic bar, you walk in the footsteps of people like Hemminway! Their famous drink, Bellini, is nice and refreshing. But 21 euro is a little bit to much for prosecco and peach pure. A tip is to take your drink standing at the bar. I don't know how much extra it is for sitting down, but it's most likely... More

It is very expensive and not worth the money. The bellini is really tasty but it costs 16euros!!!! absolutely no. The food was terrible and poor. Don't have high hopes for this place.....keep your money and do something else!!

I had high hopes for Harry's. I'd heard about its past, about its claim to fame, and like many others I came to have my brush with its famous past. Instead I found the staff to be rude, the drinks unrealistically expensive, and the bar itself touristy, an oversized gimmick. Would I go again? No. I'd stick to taking a... More

Ok - we did not eat here. This is Harrys, and my wife and daughters popped in on our last night to enjoy a Bellini. We were at the end of a long day, but were very politely shown upstairs to a little wood paneled bar area with some great photos. We had our bellinis which were wonderful, and less... More

The food was horrendous!!! The staff was miserable and never spoke to us once! And the bill was shocking I really have never experienced anything quite like it!!! We went due to the famous Bellini but my goodness I did not think it would be like this it really was disgusting and I'm cross with myself for not telling them... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
