If you have a spare 40-50 euro's then it's worth calling in to Harry's just for the experience, I guess. My wife had a Bellini and I got a whisky sour (which was very nice) and we nursed them just long enough to enjoy the comings and goings. You do get a substantial selection of olives and nuts and the... More

Anyone who is a foodie will find this restaurant so uninspiring. Extremely expensive, mediocre food, no artistry in the presentation of the food, no ambiance. Fodor's guide totally fails and misses by a mile.

Only go if it's important for you eat where celebrities eat. Otherwise spend less money on fantastic meal elsewhere.

I'm giving them 5 stars. Bartender is amazing. He is meticulous making drinks and generous with the alcohol. Yes, it's pricey at €25 per drink but worth the visit!

Walked into Harry's Bar, to find it quite crowded, most people drinking a Bellini (unsurprisingly) luckily got seats at the bar and were fascinated to watch the ebb and flow of tourists through the bar. (family groups with little children, couples with pet dogs...) The bar tender was a joy to observe as he expertly mixed endless fresh Bellini and... More

Service and food were very good. The wine (Cipriani) outstanding. So much for the ups. On the downside, I don't understand how you can touch elbows with the people on the next table in a restaurant of this class.

We had lunch in Harrys bar , we sat upstairs and the view was amazing over the grand canal off of the main square. The staff were very attentive . However the food was lovely but not worth what we paid . But it was nice to sit with the view . So just beware it is pricey

I went to Harry's Bar with my wife to enjoy their most famous Bellini in one of the world's most famous Bars. The Bellini was ok but nothing special, the Bartender was a bit arrogant and the drink very pricy. If you love Bars it is one of those you have to visit for its history but unfortunately the reality... More

We have been practicing the Harry's bar on numerous occasions since countless years : nothing changed, and it's fine this way. Fabulously elegant service and delightful food at "normal" prices. Years have no grip on this place and we trust we'll keep going there in the years to come with the same pleasure. Keep it that way folks !!! Mr... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
