I found this place by google-searching for "wine tasting bars in Venice." I am a huge Amarone and Valpolicella fan, and I realized that Venice was not far from their region of origin. This place came up as one of the best bars in Venice! I made my reservation nearly 3 weeks in advance and was NOT disappointed. The atmosphere... More

I stumbled on this great wine bar on accident as I was actually looking for the connected wine STORE. Talk about good luck. Comfortable decor, best carpaccio, and the wine tasting was spot on. This is now a favorite of mine in an already great city.

Wow! Coming from the states, Amarone is a very expensive wine. It can be upwards of $22 a glass at some places I go to. So to come to Venice and find places where it's reasonable is fantastic. And then to find a place like this that specializes in Amarone is even better! I got a flight of 5 different... More

We called in here for drinks and cicchetti. It is a quaint, stylish place and the bright coloured bath filled with bottles of wine is its distinguishing centerpiece.. Service was very welcoming and the choice of wines on offer is extensive, by glass or by the bottle. Nice idea too being able to read little labels on wine bottles left... More

I can't say that I was as impressed as some other reviewers. There is nothing wrong at all with this place we thought it was good but no more than that. The dining area is very pleasant although long & narrow and a little cramped. Whilst there is an extensive wine choice it doesn't guarantee that you will actually like... More

Had a wonderful afternoon here enjoying the wine flights with friends. Very chilled place with exceptional bruschetta and Charming staff. The Amarone was sublime. It's a little difficult to find using google maps but worth persevering

As like most other people, found this by chance and so glad we did!!! Really lovely in side, with wine every where (don't know why I was so surprised with this as in a Veniria). Shared a selection of meats and cheeses with my wife any a great bottle of Laguna, followed by a brilliant cheesecake which the waitress insisted... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
