Called in for refreshment before visiting the Galleria dell'Accademia. English breakfast tea was available and the wine and spritzer selection was very good. Lots of little appetisers at very reasonable prices.

A lil off grid but a great intro into italian tapas, or chicetti as they call it. Try a different ones. My fav is the ones with fish. Of course with a glass of wine or beer.

Our Airbnb host in Venezia Mestre recommended the place to us. It is a local favourite for good reason. Take the Vaporetto to the "Accademia" stop and make the short walk. They make amazing Spritz and their 'cicchetti' are fantastic. Take a few hours but...More

There was a long queue, but it was worth it! The crostini were delicious and there so much choice. Inside was small, but you can sit outside on the canal wall. It was sunny and opposite a workshop making gondolas. Just perfect.

We had about 10-15 cicetti and prosecco here for lunch and it was delicious. Great variety and lovely customer service. Can be busy at times but the queues die down very quickly.

Nice little place with reasonably priced and tasty cicenti. Right on a canal. Lots of selection. Small sandwiches and crostini. Try the aramanci.

Great cicchetto. Great service. Easy afternoon snack. Our hotel recommended and we are so glad we started our Venice walking tour here. Directly across the canal is the gondola craftsman shop.

For me, the best time to go is around 6 or 7. Great "cicheteria" (like snacks for English people). And very well prepared drinks.

Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with
street artists, students, painters, sculptors,
restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and
heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's
collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for
evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries
cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica
buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob

Al Squero is the only Osteria in Venice exactly in front of the Ancient Squero of San Trovaso. There is no other place where appreciating from its window the construction or restoration of original Venetian gondolas. It is a cozy and comfortable place where you can share with friends a glass of Italian wine and taste an appetizing “cicchetto” at a small price. The selection of wines you can taste or buy at Al Squero comes from small regional wine firms of Friuli, Trentino-Alto Adige and Veneto, so that it is guaranteed unique care at the quality and distinctiveness of their products.
