Decided to have lunch on my own on our first day whilst the other half had a nap in the hotels restaurant. Beautiful setting on the Grand Canal and sitting outside you can watch the world go by. Food was superb and the local cicchetti selection to start was superb. Main course of grilled sea bass was also excellent. Lovely... More

Excellent service and staff most professional but the meal is was well over priced for the food quality. A beautiful and special hotel, without a doubt, and in a fabulous location on the Grande Canal but the food was unexceptional for the prices charged. A nice evening was had but we've eaten much better and been charged much less for... More

I am taking the time to write a review on this place I was once here before back in 2014 and found the service to be less that ok for the prices they charge however the views are just wonderful, so I decided to give it a chance one more time since I was traveling with my sister and husband... My partner booked this as a surprise on the Saturday before valentines. On arrival the staff were brilliant and this continued throughout our meal. From starters to dessert the food was faultless. Honestly the best food I had in Italy. I would recommend this restaurant for any special occasions. It is on the pricer side but well worth the money!... More

My wife and I love to have lunch here with our friends every time we visit Venice. Dining here is exquisite... the beautiful and delicious food and wine, the outstanding service and the unrivaled ambiance. Perfection does come at a cost, however, so be prepared to spend accordingly.

A Wednesday evening at 9pm found ourselves in an almost empty restaurant. Quiet, dimly lit, the atmosphere is relaxed but formal none the less. Perfectly cooked food in a very refined fashion. Attentive staff. A great place for us to escape the loudness and craziness of carnival for a fancy meal

Great food and great service. All the food and wine was delicious. The restaurant is a bit gloomy and dark though. It also quite expensive.

We arrived at the restaurant in heavy rain and our wet outdoor clothes and umbrella were quickly taken to a cloak room area. Thereafter we were taken to our seats at a lovely table overlooking the Grand Canal. We both chose fish as our main course which was beautifully cooked and served. The desserts were delicious especially the Tiramisu! All waiting... More

Our first visit to Venice was made extra special because of a wonderful dinner here. Every detail was perfect. The ambience, service ,food and wine were all of a very high standard. The staff were very helpful . I started with the vegetable timbale which was delicious. My husband raved about his lamb rack. Highly recommend for a special occasion

To indulge in the perfect Beef Carpaccio followed by Linguini Vongole on the Terrace is pretty much the perfect experience there is!! Food is so tasty, service is lovely and the setting is almost biblical!!! Will take a while to top this experience!! You have to do this, it's a must!

A fresh tribute to Venetian cuisine, Restaurant Club del Doge welcomes guests in an intimate and elegant setting, which moves outdoors onto its Grand Canal Terrace from April until October. The atmosphere is casual chic by day and a more formal affair in the evenings. At its helm, Executive Chef Daniele Turco will tantalize your senses with epicurean delights that celebrate the best of local seasonal ingredients, from signature risottos to traditional cicchetti and seafood platters.

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
