A packed restaurant has to be a good sign? And it was! Attentive friendly service, good wine, good food, and a super ambience. The chips were really special, golden fried in their skins and super tasty. Great wine, great music, and if I were to be pedantic I'd say the super delicious lasagna needed to be a lot hotter than... Scallops to start and share were really good, Sea Bass was really good, Lasagne was COLD???? Bottle of red was good, Menu choice wasn't the best, not very extensive. Service was ok, at best. £100 for 1 starter and 2 mains and a bottle of red would suggest over the odds for what it is!! Pick elsewhere I would suggest,... More

The kitchen is a commanding presence. Although small the do a fantastic mixed grill of fish, delicate yet with that little bit of char crispness with the fish cooked to perfection. We had the octopus salad appetizer and the baccala with polenta, both light And flavorful. We also had spaghetti seppie with cuttlefish and spaghetti and meatballs (a bit salty).... More

Amazingly, slightly outside of the city center, actually on the still preserved but quickly changing district of LA GIUDECCA, a small unpretentious Osteria is just thousands miles away from all tourists traps that surround the Piazza San Marco or the Rialto. The chef really cares and produces, with a real pleasure, a typical, unexpensive, exciting cuisine that blends the local... More

Definitely one of the best place in Venice in terms of fish food! Expect a great location, friendly and well prepared staff, they make you feel at home right away! Great selection wines, the fish is constantly fresh, served with an Asian-Style touch that gives the entire dinner a terrific experience. If you have the chance to visit giudecca island... More

The food was great and the service was superb. We went twice while staying in Venice (at the Hilton on Giudecca) and it was one of the best decisions we have made! Also, Massimo and Mike - an excellent bartender and an excellent waiter! Both were very charming and kind. Will definitely return!

I came to this restaurant 4 years ago for the first time and come back every time I'm in Venice. This time around is was awesome again! They never disappoint! The staff is beyond friendly (even claims to remember me which I find flattering) and the place is cozy. Besides I'm in love with their tiramisu and the meatball &polenta... More

Poor service, you need to wait an hour or more for a simple starter. Staff unfriendly. Be prepared for lots of hidden costs (6 Euro per person coperto and 12.5 service charge on top of everything). You see only tourists, avoided by locals.

Just two bridges down (walking) from the Molina Stucky. Charming. Quaint. Romantic. We both enjoyed our meals. I had a ravioli stuffed with shrimp and topped with an asparagus sauce. My date, spaghetti & meatballs. Would recommend. Our waiter Max was fun and helpful. Thumbs up!

Staying in Giudecca

Neighbourhood Profile
Giudecca
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.
