Stunning cafe centrally located on St Marks Square, we popped in for an apperol spritz and a desert. Our waiter was funny and made our experience, the views of the basilica from the cafe are stunning. We were fortunate to have two sunny February days in Venice, which made sitting at this Saint Marks Square cafe' a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the sunshine while sipping on alperol spritzes which seems to be THE drink to order here. They bring out a...nice tray of nibbles to enjoy with your drink, which to me represented an invitation to linger. We also ordered sandwiches which were tasty, but not really anything extraordinary which is ok since you're not really there for the food. Our waiters were extremely gracious and the service was quick unlike what some of the previous reviewers had posted.More

A beautiful cafe in the square. All the waiters are dressed up and extremely friendly. Sat and watched all the people who have dressed up for the carnival. A great experience

I did not visit this store but just want to share the absolute arrogant attitude of a waiter of lavena. I was taking pictures of the menu standing on the public street (outside the store) out of curiosity to read it quietly at home. The...waiter approached me and started making fun of me like I was doing something dumb or absurd and he was clearly upset and irritated by my action, as if I was doing something forbidden, which I clearly wasn't as the menu is publicly viewable, hanging outside. The attitude was indeed bold, intimidating. From other google reviews it's clear the store is overpriced but in line with other stores in the area and everything is transparent, at least. Absolutely unacceptable and inexplicable is how this guy treats people. Again, it seems nothing new by reading the reviews, arrogance seems a standard attitude. Rest assure mr waiter that I won't put my feet next to your store anymore and will make sure to inform friends and family visiting Venice to avoid it. well done man! great advertising strategy. when you've had a long day at the Doge's Palace or in museums, sitting on the square and having a beverage is a welcome break. Wait staff are pleasant, attentive. Seagulls are to be feared, though, they mean business! Only downside - so, so many...people smoke here. Figure out who's upwind before choosing your seats.More

We went in for some hot chocolate on a cold day. Hot Chocolate was 12 Euro, but that might not be unexpected given the location and sit down service by a waiter. What was annoying is that he seemed somewhat aloof that we only ordered...something to drink, it was 10:30 on a Monday morning. Then when he brought the check he kept pointing out that the tip was not included in the bill. This was something extra he wanted on the side since it was not on the tray for more than 5 seconds before he pocketed it. Spend your money elsewhere, at least where they seem to appreciate your business.More

Lovely place to rest your weary bones after a wonderful but exhausting visit of the Doge's Palace! Tables located right on St.Marks Square allowing you to take advantage of the sun, and to people watch. It is expensive but it's worth it - delicious vegetarian...sandwiches, wonderful surroundings, attentive waiter service and piano playing in the middle of the afternoon. Very popular. Tables are in high demand, however you can stay as long as you want and are never rushed to pay!More
