If you like informal gatherings and a great bargain, don't miss this. Students, workers and tourists all mingle in the plaza next to this little take-out restaurant with wine for under a euro and sandwiches or cheese and meet trays for 1-2 euros. What a...More

Went here with my wife and we loved it. Great for snacking and drinking on the go. This place is by far better than the other snack places.

This was the best place to stop for a small glass of wine accompanied by a tasty sandwich. Cheap prices, fair food and wine. You can sit and enjoy the sun on the stairs of the cathedral which are 20 meters from that place! Excellent...More

Staying at Hotel Moresco, Bacareto da Lele is nearby and we seemed to pass it at least once a day during our stay. Everyday it was busy, whatever the time of day, with locals, students and and tourists. It's not a restaurant that you can...More

Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district)
when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring
cars and buses close to the center of Venice.
Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking
Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes
with energy from travelers and students. Historic
palaces and former industrial buildings house some
departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture

I had the sweetest smoothest Moscato wine here and I wish I would have looked to see the name. Does anyone know what the name of the Moscato is that is served here? Thank you:)

I don't recall any fish. As far as vegetarian, you could get cheese and tomato on your sandwich. The counter guys were very nice and helpful.
