Looked OK from the outside and was pleased to be seated in the garden. That's all the good points. Three of us ordered one starter and three main courses. Asked three waiters and the manager where our food was after an hour, a shrug of...More

So, first night in Venice with no preconceptions...just hungry and wanting local fare...stumbled upon this place and found the ambiance quite friendly with english speaking staff and good explanations of menu when needed....not very large portions especially Lasagne and no vegetables with a meat main...More

Very close to our hotel and next to the Guglie Bridge so we dropped in at this attractive looking establishment - big mistake and the one time we were ripped off as tourist conveyor belt victims. The place is cramped and at least one couple...More

Despite being on the main drag, fresh pasta, friendly service and a really good ambience. Only negative, too much salt in the pasta. No doubt intended to boost drinks sales, but neither necessary nor recommended. At the end of our first course our waiter enquired,...More

We went into this place because it was on our way back to our hotel. It was also half empty and available. Alarm bells should have rung. My husband ordered lemon escalope. It arrived. Exactly that. We saw nothing on the menu to suggest we...More

Great location, great pasta, great staff. The owner is a delightful gentleman who appears to take great pride in what he and his staff deliver. Great evening!

Quite possibly the worst food I have ever eaten in Italy. The ravioli was gluggy and tasteless, the carpaccio also tasteless. The only positive was the house wine, which was really nice. But overall. Terrible experience! Also the most expensive bill I received on my...More

Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
