Slighrly off the main drag in a characterful less touristic area. Excellent food , pleasant staff, v good wine. We had our final meal here and were not disappointed. Haute cuisine standard. Highly recommended. Paid about £60 a head including meals & wines.

Visited this restaurant on our last night. Great food and very attentive service. Lovely food. Well cooked and presented. Lamb chops were tender and the cod with clams was gorgeous. Dessert very good. Wine good value.

I had the best pasta a sepie ever in Venice here. It's a classic dish in Venice, but something I've grown not to like so much after trying too hard before, pasta (taglierini) with the meat and shiny deep black ink of a kind of...More

This restaurant is set apart from the main area of Venice but is well worth a visit. The food is delicious , the ambience lovely and the service good. I went with a friend; 2 courses, coffee and a bottle of wine for €90. Excellent...More

Having eaten in a number of rated Venice restaurants, this is the best by a country mile. Not the usual large portion/heavy fare that can be the staple of Veniice Osteria, but high quality with exquisite flavours up there with best that you might find....More

It helps to be Sicilian, but once the code is cracked and the owners know you are Sicilian (or just plain like things Sicilian) then your evening is made. The sardines beccafico were a delight and the mix of appetizers, fresh seafood, pasta, and desserts...More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel on our first night in Venice so my expectations were high. However I honestly found the general ambience not at all pleasing and the food very average. As a starter I ordered the Caprese which consisted...More

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying
areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand
for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal
bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli
Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
