This was two minutes from where we were staying, and from the outside, it just looks fabulous. Smal quiant bridge, narrow street, all very pictursque. Inside is more "needs updating" but don't be put off. You are there for the food, and I loved mine....More

Very enjoyable and good food it was only on the walk home we realised we’d been over charged €20 for an additional main course. In hind sight we believe this was a delicate act on behalf of the restaurant. Simply don’t go there.

So, this place is basically La Zucca consolation prize as others have written, but honestly it's quite serviceable. Friendly family restaurant vibe from the servers. I had the vegetable soup, great on a cold winter night, the pasta alla scogliera, a really fantastic panna cotta,...More

We changed upon this place as we were already extremely hungry. Had the soft shell crabs and muscles to start, and they were amazing. We had the fish ravioli, Lagsana and seafood pasta. All of which were very good. Finished it off with tiramisu which...More

Quaint little family style restaurant, ideal for a nice lunch. Food was excellent, plenty of choice. I had a very tasty pumpkin soup, perfect for a cold winter day. Staff speak English and French and are very friendly.

My friend and I stumbled on this sweet little neighborhood spot for lunch. Its tucked away from the crowds, by a small bridge and canal, complete with a gondolier waiting for his next customer. We both loved our meal. I had the most delicious lasagne...More

I went here last night as La Zucca was full. The servers were young and very nice, happy to help. The wine in carafes/by the glass was appalling - there’s no need for terrible wine in Italy. I had wanted a glass of Chianti but...More

We were on our way to lunch elsewhere when we were stopped in our tracks by a wonderful smell as we crossed the bridge and found this wonderful trattoria. My husband and I both had the calamari which melted in the mouth and I also...More

Food was on point! Outdoor seating location has a great view as well. We had ordered the Gnocchi and multiple glasses of wine. Price was one of the best we've experienced in Venice yet. Service was much faster than we had become used to in...More

Like other reviewers we wanted to get i to Zucca but it was full. This place was just over the bridge. Two primi pasta dishes were excellent - one with shrimps and mushrooms, the other with anchovies and onions - followed by two secondi dishes...More

San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the
Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six
sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest
neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the
markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops
display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San
Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi)
stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San
