The food was good, but the desserts, omg, absolutely divine and decadent! It is a family run, small restaurant with a warm atmosphere and attentive service. You got to try it, just for the dessert.

Over a small bridge and down a passageway you'll find this out of the way restaurant with a small but excellent menu. Arranged with a selection of traditional Italian courses we chose items from the Antipasta and Primo Platte sections, starting with the mixed Venetian Seafood and following that up with Seafood Rissotto. Both were delicious but if you go... More

Wonderful little family run restaurant in a quiet corner of Venice. Worth seeking out. The food was up there with the best we've eaten. The desserts were top drawers. Small and cosy place with a very personal feel. Nice service and a genuinely lovely dining experience. Prices were reasonable too, especially as the food quality was so high! We would... More

Incredible restaurant. Food is so good. Try the raw fish: it is superbe!!! The risotto is one of the Best I have ever tasted. Wine was perfect and both the chef and the waitress were extremely welcoming.

The restaurant looks quite nice and charming. Due to the high ratings on TripAdvisor we also had high expectations, wich the restaurant could not full fill at all. Sadly my girlfriend felt sick after a few hours and we didn't had any other dishes in between. Honestly she hasn't the strongest stomach, but from my point of view this is... More

During the afternoon, we called several times to make a reservation, but had no answer. After a long day of tourism, we arrived at The restaurant five minutes After 18:30, The openning time. However, as we were a family of six, she said that could not accept us, besides the available place. It was very disrespectaful frontal her part. Not mentioning that... More

On our last night in Venice my husband and I and another couple went to Osteria Antico Giardinetto for a seafood feast. Situated off the tourist track this small family run restaurant is a little difficult to find, being located on a small alley. However, the food and wine definitely made the small effort to find Osteria Antico Giardinetto worthwhile... More

Very small ugly room. -not "quaint small". The main dining room feels like a basement. Small windows, no views, and wall paneling. Service was nice. Food was average. Frito misto tasted like over-fried donuts. You do get lots of seafood and veggies. But donut oily taste.

Had a appetiser with a variety seafood including salted cod, scallops, pickled sardine, calamari, prawns and etc. Great to explore the different flavour. Squid ink spaghetti and scallop & small artichoke spaghetti for main. Squid ink spaghetti is enjoyable but the scallop and artichoke spaghetti has a unpleasent slightly bitter taste to it. End up with €56 without drinks

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
