We went looking for this place based on TripAdvisor reviews. Wow! Great food and excellent service. Since we had not booked a table in advance we had to wait for about 30 minutes. And it was definitely worth the wait. One of our best dining experience in Venice.

We decided to come back here after enjoying good food on our first visit. It was our last night in Venice and we had just come back from a day trip. The waiter insulted my girlfriends appearance as soon as we sat down which upset her for the rest of the night. Regardless of food or location, we would never... More

Lovely restaurant, nice decor, friendly staff and very good food. The beef is like cutting in butter and the fish is fresh and well cooked. We didn't book and they manage to fit us in, but it is a very popular restaurant, so I recommend booking in the high season.

Very small Trattoria in Venice in good location. They serve excellent pizza. I had Burrata with vegetables as a starter. The best Burrata I have ever had! Is is often really crowded here, not a "romantic" place. We really liked the food and wine here. What is really funny is that they have a lot of waiters from India (or... More

Well we stumbled across this little gem, they had one table left so we took it. The food was great and a lovely homely atmosphere to go with it. We opted for pesto pasta as a first course then chicken for myself and beef for my partner. The presentation and taste was second to none. Not one fault about this... More

Like most places in Venice stumbled across this place by mistake and what a find. Evening food is served from 1900-22.15. May change for summer hours. But my advice would be get there as early as possible otherwise the place fills up and you could be waiting a while, as the place is only small. The waiters are very friendly... More

Me and my boyfriend had a dinner. I am Italian and I don't think that the quality was so good. The pizza looked just standard and my pasta was just ok. Funny we ask for Wifi and only one of us could use and only for 30 mins. The place is tiny and can be very loud so you can't... More

This is a small restaurant, tucked away down a side street, slightly off the beaten track. We had the best meal of our weekend here. We ate here with a 12 yr old & 8 yr old, both whom enjoyed the friendly staff and the banter when serving our food. It was a case of pizzas for three and a... More

Great food, must try while in Venice! Do note to make a reservation during weekend or some other days to ensure to get a table; we tried the scallop as appetizers, carbonara, and the Da Mamo pizza. They were so good and tasty!

Got a last minute recommendation to try this restaurant and SO happy we were able to get in -- a fantastic meal, wonderful and fun waiter, lovely experience all around. Our three kids and both of us all agree it was our favorite meal in Venice!! Definitely make a reservation -- there was a group gathered before opening (we were... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
