We were referred to this place from our hotel Columbina. It is in a cute little square, quiet and relaxing after arriving to Venice by train and then finding our hotel in the crowds of San Marco. We sat outside and ordered each a beer,...More

little bit hard to find. But I was soooo lucky to experience wonderful dining in this place. Friendly and kind and most of all, so delicious. I deeply moved to every single plate I had. Would visit this place again when I go venice again.

Lunch was fabulous. Ravioli stuffed with white fish in a olive oil pesto sauce and shrimp. Husband had pasta with half a lobster in it. Delicious. The best meal we've had in veince!

After having eaten a great deal at lunchtime, we only wanted a snack in the evening. Wandering around and trying to steer clear of restaurants on main thoroughfares, we came across the Osteria Ae Sconte, hidden in a small square. We chose a table in...More

Having been recommended by our hotel we had dinner here and on another night stopped back for a drink. The Zuppa pesce (seafood not really soup) and the Frutti Mare were excellent.

Waiters are nice, we were seated at the corner table. The food was delicious for something in Venice but after the entree we were left waiting for our delicious main course, I guess may be 20 minutes or so, I hope they hire more staff...More

Went with some friends, this place is about 5-10 mins from St Marks Sq and off the beaten track. We only wanted drink when we went in but they don't do that - food only with drinks accompanying - so we had food as well....More

I am from Greece and we have amazing sea food. So my standards are very high on this. That was one of the best sea food I have ever had!

We tried this place close to our hotel and were delighted with the food and the service, so much so that we came back the next night and had another superb meal. First time it was the seafood platter for two- see photo, finished with...More

one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime
neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side
streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals

We did not book and ate around 7:30, but that was on a Monday night. People constantly streamed in, so a reservation would be a good idea. It certainly doesn't hurt to have it!

I would say on the high end of the dining spectrum for a European city. 30 euro entrees if that helps and well worth the money!
