A lovely very busy fish restaurant off the tourist map & very popular with the locals. The menu wasn't in English but the waiter helped us to understand was very friendly and nice. Good was good, wine was nice- toilets the cleanest I've seen in Venice - worth a visit . The spaghetti dishes also looked good although not tried.

This Osteria was wonderful. Good fresh food. Dishes were catered to the fish lover and me the vegetarian. We had the fish antipasto and the squid, calamari as well as grilled vegetables.

We had 'salmone alla griglia' with polenta, very well presented to which I would give a score of 5 over 5, it was excellent, it could have not been better. 'Spaghetti alle vongole' instead I would give a score of 3 or even 2.5 over 5 : I understand restaurants need to half cook pasta to be quick when serving... More

Great fresh food Nothing fancy to look at but what an atmosphere! We managed to get a table for 2 as they opened and was soon packed. Wonderful fish and pasta dishes. House wine was also very reasonable Hic

We were introduced by our cousin of their squid ink pasta, so we went there to give it a try. The first time we went it was fully booked so we made a reservation on the 2nd night in Venice. We ordered squid ink pasta & the grilled sea bream, it was all right and not a life changing experience.

the concierge from the Cipriani sent us there after our Mask course ! We did not expect anything but were very surprised ! They have exellent grilled fish, mixed vegetables and a sort of a buffet at the entrance where you can chose from ! From my table I watched the chef prepare everything ! Highly recomended

I was recommended to try 4 Feri. It was so delicious I returned 3 days in a row. The vegetables(Verdura cotta) for example are so mouthwatering. Wonderful local tuna(Tonno) is delightful. Pasta dishes spaghetti vongole , gnocchi to name a few are delicious. A warm family atmosphere is evident when arriving here. There's a reason locals come to dine here.... More

A good choice of food and wine. The service was a little erratic but it was very busy. Best to book if there are more than 2 people.

We stumbled through Venice, getting lost at every turn, and found ourselves hungry. This restaurant was recommended to us by a local passerby, and we walked in. No reservation meant that we had to eat with others, but who cares, we are in Venice. A woman with an apron that read "Peggy" bustled around in both Italian, and to us,... More

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
