A shift around since we were last here, makes for more tables. Some additions to the food like Gamberoni con Lardo, very nice indeed. As always the bacola montecato is wonderful. Lots of good flavours. The prosecco nice and full of flavour, the ombré had...a very smooth soft finish. Had a couple of late lunches and an after dinner drink this trip. Very friendly owner, managed to see pictures of how his daughter is growing, from the baby previously.More

Closes at 9pm. Theme of the bar is the crew of a boat. Well worth a visit.More

Came after the recommendation on Tripadvisor. I did not expect luxury, but it was dirty with bad smell. Fried items were to greasy, sandwiches ok overall dissapointment.

This is one of our favourite places in Venice. They serve up some pretty exciting flavours of ciccheti. The Gamberoni con Lardo in particular is one of the best bites of food I had on our trip. The owner is also very helpful and friendly....Highly recommended!More

Nice bacaro on the Rialto - Piazzale Roma route near San Stae vapperetto stop. Good variety of local wines, ombra Rosso good and fruity. Prosecco good quality. Plenty of variety in the way of chiccetti (small snacks) some larger ones include fried cod, zucchini flowers,...fish balls and meat balls. Good place to stop off and rest with friendly service.More

Excellent place. We had heard about it and went on our first day. The food was superb. Lovely fresh ingredients. The baccala mantecato was particularly delicious. The food and drink was so good we came back every day of our stay. It is also run...by such lovely people who made us feel so welcome. Could not recommend more highly.More

Perfect spot for a rest and glass of beer or wine. The food snack were not just baccala but included meat balls, octopus, tuna, fried salted cod, along with some very nice smoked tuna. Plenty of variety of local wines and Prosecco. This is a...busy place and you may have to stand outside by the canal and close to Corte zanetti where they once made chariots. Look out for a friendly stop off point for a real Venetian experience.More

We were the first customers that day. The patrone is very friendly, prepares the food in the morning himself and lives in the town. He had time to talk to us. After some minutes other customers came in and he had "rush hour"

I searched for a secondhand vintage store called Vintageria, Venezia and after finding two awesome dresses for 30 Euro, asked the owner for a nearby place with good food and good wine. She gave excellent directions to this sweet little haven off the main pickpocket...busy routes. The waitress here delightfully explained what the items on offer were in the glass case and offered a sample of a local sparkling dry red wine. I’d never tried one before and on a hot sweaty day, out of the sun and noise of the crowds, a chilled sparkly red turned out to be the perfect beverage to sip. Also try the spicy vegetable biscuit! It’s really good. I also had the capers on a slice of bread. As you will see in the picture!More

You cant. Just get on down early, as they close around 9, and share a table with someone.
