My girlfriend took a trip to Venice over New Year and both loving bruschetta, were delighted to discover All'Arco. The food and experience was truly amazing. Such delicious, powerful flavours. I would have happily eaten at All'Arco every day of our trip!

Stop off here, grab a delicious cichetti, or two, or three…enjoy the buzz amongst the locals, and wash it down with a good glass of wine. Friendly and warm atmosphere makes for a very enjoyable experience.

After visiting the Rialto market, it was great to find somewhere tucked away on a quiet sidesteeet, serving Cicheti which showcased the seafood from just around the corner. Go here and jostle for space with locals; eat salt cod, prawns, clams, cured salmon, mushrooms with truffles, prosciutto and the best Gorgonzola I've had; drink wine or the gorgeous local prosecco... Having been to a few bars for cicchetti, this one definitely has some of the most interesting and best executed food, and therefore deservedly some of the biggest crowds. The prosecco we had was passable, but other wines may be better. The servers are extremely friendly. Definitely would have been more fun in the summer, when we could have lingered... More

If you keep walking straight on from Rialto bridge, past all the stalls/shops and the 1st "square/multiple choices of directions" you come to turn left and take the 2nd right hand alley and you come across All'Arco. Here you'll find the most delicious tramezzini you could imagine. The combinations and flavours where just amazing. Probably the best i tried in... More

We went back to All'Arco twice while in Venice! It was so easy to pop in and get a little drink and snack to revive us for sight seeing!

We found this place maybe an hour before it closes. Tried all the different combinations of bread with different toppings and it was all very tasty.

Hidden in an alley of the Rialto Market, this osteria offers all you need for a quick aperitivo. The chicchetti are more sophisticated and very tasty. You can find meat and fish food matched with seasonal and local vegetables such as artichokes and radicchio. They have a good selection of wine. This place has no seats, it's just meant for... More

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
