Great food, great ambiance and excellent service. The menu is all in Italian, but a key words card helps to guide you on what the dishes are. However, the staff are so helpful at explaining you will not have a problem. The restaurant is small...More

This place was in the 'hood where we stayed, and it was one of the most-recommended places by locals. We could never get a res for dinner, which made us sad, but we did go for dessert one night, and they were FANTASTIC. I'd go...More

This is a really small restaurant so you need to book well in advance, you know it is high demand when there's a queue outside. We had the carpaccio, rabbit and pesto tagliatelle which were all delicious. We were also given a glass of limoncello...More

Found by chance while exploring Venice, this small and welcoming restaurant offers a range of meat and vegetarian dishes. It was busy with locals and tourists even though it had just opened for lunch - reservations are probably a good idea - despite which the...More

We booked quite a late table, 9pm, as it's a busy wee place. On arrival we were met with a nice welcome and shown to our table. We were given menus which were in Italian, we are in Italy after all!, the waiter was nice...More

La Zucca is a wonderful restaurant where vegetables are particularly well understood. We discovered it several years ago, but were back in Venice at the end of May and made a point of including a lunch on our itinerary. Lamb chops with fennel was my...More

Everything was just lovely at this restaurant: the food, the service, the location. Many delicious dishes based on plants, tasteful homemade pesto taliatele, yammer desserts. Try the Artischocken!!!! The service was fast and very friendly. Book in advance as the place is really busy

Does anyone have any tips on the best day and time to call when someone might answer the phone? I have called 12 times over the past three days, during their lunch service, dinner service, and times in between, but no one has answered the phone. I have also sent them an email, but received no response. Any suggestions?

Between 5 and 6 is a good time to call. They have become so popular, always booked, and I guess just don'tave time to answer the phone. If you are there for a few days, I suggest stopping by the restaurant at the end... More
