I wont say much about the food because after one hour of waiting it was still not there. When we kindly asked for explantation and told the waiter it was bit long he agreed it was long but looked like he could not care less. So we insisted and he said there was nothing he can do, insulting my wife....So... More

We have had lunch here several times over the past couple of years and have always been well-received, even without a reservation (but there are only a few tables, and it's popular with locals, so it's best to call ahead). Last time we had jugged venison and polenta, washed down by a fantastic local red. Main dishes are very nourishing,... More

Been in this restaurant upon suggestions of few locals. The atmosphere is cosy and the kitchen is apparently famous to employ ingredients from local farms. We had a good start with a very attentive service. By looking at the dishes brought to other customers they looked delicious and the quantities plentiful. We decided not to take a degustation menu but... More

My husband & I went twice to this small, local osteria on our way from the UK to Italy. We enjoyed the wonderful, typical food in this border town between Italy & France so much the first time that we planned our return trip to make sure we could come again. It was nearing the holidays so the menu may... More

I was yearning to have a great meal here. The setting is nice, the wine selection good. Service is great as well. But venison tortellini were really salty. The Vitello main course was chewy even though as the waiter said had been cooking for 6 hours. Plate was meager with a drop of mashed potatoes. Braised duck legs were good,... More

Osteria is in pedestrian area in Aosta. Nice place, but average food, not perfect. A big disappointment for me was dessert. Millefoglia with castanea cream was unusual, it did not look like millefiglie at all . Wine was OK. Try ther "polenta".

My daughter and I got lucky by looking through the reviews on Trip Advisor for places to eat in Aosta, Italy. We followed the recommendations and put ourselves in the hands of the waiter at Osteria da Nando. We ordered a five course meal with wine accompaniment and let him bring us his choices. The food/wine pairing was fantastic, and... More

We went there in our first night in Aosta and we loved it. We strongly recommend to make a prior reservation. The restaurant is small, cozy and romantic. We chose one tasting menu and asked the chef to surprise us with two different dishes in each of the 5 course menu. At the end is was a very tasty surprise.... More

Six of us ate here for dinner on our walk through Aosta on the Via Francigena. What an experience. The best meal of our 7 night stay in the Aosta Valley. Excellent service, first-class wines and delicious local food. Not a large restaurant, but very popular. So booking is essential. The evening we were there we were the only non-Italians.
