Not recommended. The place was big and completely understaffed. Every step from ordeeing the meal to paying the bill took forever. The food was average. The pasta with fredh tomatoes and mozarella had grated mozarella on it which tasted like Straight from the supermarket. A very disappointing experience.

Lovely touch by the chef to come to all the tables to make sure everyone was happy with their food. Food was simple and fresh. The staff were friendly and the wine lovely.

Seemingly authentic northern Italian cuisine. By 8 p.m. the place was packed and we were the only German-speaking people. Everyone else was speaking Italian. Portions were unexpectedly huge. The biggest disappointment was my husband’s pasta, which had not been properly drained and was a huge clot of noodles with the sauce dumped on top. Otherwise, the food was good. Service... More

Loved the food, wine and interior. The large glass roof is just great. Good original Italian food. Would eat here again.

Wide choice of starters and main dishes, they also have lots of fish from Fri through Sat. I went for starters as Penne ala vodka and Tagliatelle with mushrooms. Both large portions so do not fall for much hunger to choose both starter and dish unless you are an American :-) Havent eaten better Penne ala vodka then here. Staff... More

A bit overpriced, I bet you can find a better place. Also, check the address on Google Maps as the app send us quite a bit of course.

Warm and nice welcome, separate table in the front room with oversight to the street in front, fast and very friendly service giving separate informations concerning the meals, took time to be helpful although there were many people dining, food served directly from the kitchen where you can watch the cooking, drinks served directly from the bar on the right... Around Christmas time I found myself in Merano with my family. Merano is a beautiful town in Sudtirol, surrounded by the mountains. The local cousine is very typical of the area and usually pretty good. It was hence quite of a surprise to discover a very different type of cousine. Trattoria da Santoni offers hearty roman cousin, miles away from... More

Another couple and we had the pleasure of eating dinner at this restaurant when we recently spent 2 nights in Merano. The ambiance, service and the food all were excellent. We were amazed to watch just two wait staff manage the whole dining room which was full to capacity. They were polite and took their time to be helpful explaining the... More
