Absolutely outstanding! Father and daughter operation in a small artsy space. The space is intimate and cozy, and had our best meal in Turin here. Did a plin and tajarin tasting menu... which was 5 pasta courses that all told a story. Each dish was outstanding, and little bites in between courses and dessert were also excellent. Everything is homemade and the service is welcoming and awesome. Wine was also delicious and glasses were around 4 Euro. They were very accommodating to all food allergies. There are a variety of tasting menus priced from 20-35 Euro and also large shareable pasta dishes for bigger tables. The best way to experience this restaurant is through a tasting menu. Truly outstanding experience and via public transport, very easy to get to from all over the city.

Plin & Tjerin is not a restaurant, but an extension of the home of Mario and his daughter Stefania, where Piedmontese tradition meets a warm and intimate atmosphere.
Mario, with his unmistakable charisma, welcomes you like an old friend. As soon as you sit it delights you with small tastes of pure enjoyment accompanied by a delicious hot and appetizing focaccia (maybe too much!). And so at the end of lunch, small unexpected and delicious pleasures. The décor is a stunning fusion of tradition and modernity, with warm colours enveloping diners and soft lighting adding a touch of intimacy. The walls, tables, plates and everything is adorned with works of art and family memories, every corner tells a story.
The menu, focused exclusively on Mario's favorite dishes (he told me himself) is a true tribute to the authentic flavors of the region. The Plin, are prepared with a craftsmanship that is reflected in every bite. Tajarin, thin are served with sauces and seasonings that enhance their delicacy. And the raw Piedmontese meat, simple and refined, is a tribute to the quality of local ingredients. Not to mention the irresistible desserts and renowned Piedmontese wines.
Each course is a demonstration of how the quality of ingredients can make a difference.
Plin & Tajerin has a special place in my heart, being the place where I celebrated my son's graduation and the experience was unforgettable. All our diners were delighted with the choice of such a welcoming and intimate place, praising the quality of the food and the exceptional hospitality.
Each diner was enchanted by the cozy and intimate atmosphere, and they all complimented me on choosing such a unique place. Mario and Stefania made this occasion even more memorable with their sincere hospitality and delicious dishes.
Ci tornerò sempre volentieri!
Only tip: book in advance!

We opted for the €38 Gourmet Menu and were fully satisfied with the choice. The menus are well designed and allow you to taste different courses, plus the chef offers a series of very tasty entrées. I must say that the name of the place reflects the imprint of the menu well: with the plin and the tajarin you are on the safe side. The plin with black truffle, butter and sage are exquisite, as are the classic ones with roast sauce. The honorable mention of lunch, however, goes to the marinated fillet heart tartare, probably the best I have ever eaten. Incredible quality of the raw material. In addition to the very good cuisine, the whole context also plays its part. The place is small and welcoming, with very few seats, furnished in a truly artistic and original way. The philosophy of "slow cooking" must be embraced when you come to this place, so don't rush and let yourself be surprised not only by the cuisine but also by an attentive and dedicated service. Greetings to chefs from Beatrice and Alessandro, we hope to be able to return soon to try other proposals!

4 of us had a superb late lunch at Plin & Tajarin. We each ordered something different & ordered a separate dish for the middle of the table. We shared all of them; all were outstanding. 3 plin, 1 tajarin, 1 carpaccio. We tried the "traditional style" plin (similar in size to tortellini) with salsicca di Bra (sausage from the town of Bra) which is served "traditional style" in a napkin & also plin with Salsicca di Bra with the salsicca crumbled & sprinkled on top & served in a bowl. Oh. My. Goodness. We all agreed that is one of the best things any of us has ever eaten! Extraordinary. I know it might sound weird, but salsicca di bra is raw veal sausage. Now I don't usually eat veal & I don't eat much meat, but I would make a huge exception for this dish. WOW! And all the other dishes were fantastic & so lovingly prepared & served. I had the tajarin (simiar to linguini but thinner & more delicate) with butter & sage sauce. We all ordered desserts & those were beautifully served & delectable as well. We wanted to come back the next day but alas they were closed. We will DEFINITELY be back! I can't wait to try the hazelnut plin. Many thanks to Stepfania, who is the daughter of the father/daughter duo who run this restaurant & we were lucky enough to have as our delightful hostess. There are only a few tables here & limited hours, so make a reservation. MUST DO IN TORINO!

Together with four friends we went to lunch at this restaurant on a Monday, booking a few days in advance, and fell in love with it.
The restaurant is intimate and very small, we counted by eye about twenty seats, but incredibly rich in detail and welcoming. The decor we liked very much, very particular and taken care of by the restaurateur himself, who we had asked about at the end of the meal.
The kitchen is of a high standard: there were 5 of us and we took four different tasting menus, without this affecting the timing of the lunch in any way. The raw material is of excellent quality, and the preparations were carried out to perfection.
Also perfect service, courteous, friendly and precise. We were pampered with some entrées, 3 jars with several very good preparations, a pre-dessert of soft nougat and a fondant after dessert. They never made us miss the accompanying focaccia with meals (which will have been reported to us I think at least 5-6 times).
The value for money is also great, considering both the raw material and the workmanship. We spent about 50-55 euros each, each taking a tasting menu, plus seven bottles of water and four coffees. We came out full and definitely satisfied with the experience.
Reservations are recommended, being a small place. It is a real treat, highly recommended from all points of view!

I had lunch in this restaurant on 29/09 with a friend and we were really enthusiastic: the atmosphere is intimate and welcoming, the owner accompanied us to the table and treated us like guests, not just customers. We greatly appreciated the traditional and quality cuisine, and the owner satisfied our curiosities by explaining the origins of the dishes. Lunch was accompanied by excellent tastings, kindly offered by the restaurant, which gave us the opportunity to feel even more "at home". On behalf of my friends, I also thank the staff of Plin and Tajarin because here we spent pleasant hours in the company of good food and, above all, we rediscovered the value of true catering. A hug from Sicily!

We left Cassino for Turin with the intent to definitely do two things: spend 3 hours in the fabulous Egyptian Museum and go to dinner at Plin and Tajarin... obviously we did both. Small place, but very welcoming, thanks to the managers / chefs who dedicate themselves accurately to customers, serving excellent dishes of the culinary tradition of Turin and Piedmont... we tasted and enjoyed everything we chose, including obviously plin and tajarin. A small room with only 16 seats with the right privacy assured, the right bill and adequate to the offer... we recommend booking with a certain margin in advance. In a future return to Turin we will definitely return to dinner at Plin and Tajarin. Greetings and good work to the staff.

If you want to taste the historic firsts of Piedmont you have to go there, both the Plin and the Tajarin are exceptional. Even though the restaurant only offers first courses, you leave the table full and pay the right amount. I'll be back.

My best meal on this trip. The restaurant was a little hard to find, but once I tried to find it by the address, it was ok. I was here for lunch and I had to buzz the buzzer and the owner let me in. I counted no more than 20 seats in the entire place. There was only one sitting at lunch, and I’m not sure they take reservations, so if you are not one of the 20, come back. They have several set menu options featuring plin, mini closed filled pasta like ravioli, and tajarin, thin long pasta like capelinni. The combo also included dessert. There are various spread and tastes to be eaten with bread along the way that came in little jars, all of which were delicious. I enjoyed the plin with butter and sage especially. They sell wine by the glass or bottle at reasonable prices. For dessert, I had a wonderful hazelnut cake. With two glasses of wine, lunch came out to 45 euro. I cannot recommend this place enough. Service is excellent.

Intrigued by the all positive reviews, I had been trying to book for dinner for 3 years in the 3 days I was in Turin for the ATP finals, I always called to book too late and they found everything full, this year I called 15 days before and managed to go . I confirm everything you read, the place is small, very few seats, but welcoming, the owner is friendly and helpful, the girls who serve at the table are discreet and polite, this is already worth the experience, you eat without haste, there are no 2/3 shifts, background music and relaxation. The food was tasty and good, we took the Gourmet menu and 2 desserts, I will definitely go back and book in advance for the next few years that I will be in Turin to try other dishes. To try, I am attaching not only photos of the dishes which are the same as those already present, but also photos of the various menus with prices to get an idea of what you eat in this place.

Entering this place, which I would define as a welcoming living room, you are attracted by the colors and creativity! The "landlord" welcomes us with grace and courtesy... we sit down and, after having taken a look at the rich menu, we decide to leave the choice to him with the sole indication of tasting local dishes. The wait is punctuated by excellent tastings accompanied by an exquisite focaccia served generously. I won't list all the courses, they were truly delicious... a nice touch of color in the tortellini di plin served in a white napkin or in a glass "drowned" in red wine... all enriched by a pleasant story. Congratulations to Mr. Mario and all his staff!

I booked this place to celebrate my wife's birthday as the place I would have chosen is closed on Sundays! I consulted with the daughters and after checking that they had food for vegetarians I made a reservation for lunch.
We arrive at the appointed time and a kind gentleman (I later discovered he was Mario) with a vaguely Einsteinian air makes us sit on the table inside the favor box (about twenty places) and we immediately start with the tastings of polenta (or mousse ) accompanied by all you want focaccia served impeccably by the staff (4/5 waiters doesn't seem like a lot to me!) who my family and I found very polite (and anything but intrusive).
We choose 2 surprise menus and 2 Tajarin menus; what can I say they don't deserve the star yet but they seemed decidedly above average to me. In my opinion I count for what I consider to be a very pleasant surprise.
Now I have another local reference in Turin. Thanks Mario and all the staff.

We went to this very particular restaurant for lunch with some friends, a small place but full of splendid details waiting to be discovered. Courteous and helpful owner, excellent dishes and very honest prices, tastings of delicious appetizers and desserts offered on the house!
If we were to return to Turin it will definitely be a fixed stop!

Well advised by our son for a birthday lunch, we were pleasantly surprised to find the already great reviews correspond to reality.
The restaurant, small and particularly cute, offers the best of Piedmontese cuisine with the possibility to choose different tasting menu solutions at a fixed price.
The dishes are all of the highest quality, the welcome and service are excellent.
We will return very very gladly

Unexpected experience! Very small place, decorated with many works of art in a modern style and with light instrumental music in the background which creates an extremely pleasant environment. Menu characterized by ravioli del plin and taglioli with different seasoning options, there are various second courses mainly based on meat and also various desserts. The dishes are very pleasant and refined. As soon as you enter, you are served a series of small samples of creams and sauces with excellent focaccia; even at the end of the meal we were served a small taste of a nougat "ice cream" and a "solid amaro". The value for money is very good. The staff is very attentive, kind and helpful. It was an unexpected experience which we were very positively impressed by!!
