I was first introduced to Don Lisander by Miranda Maronelli who lived across the street.. for an American it was very swish and sitting always in the garden in summer, the plants took the edge off of the humidity of Milano and the heat in August. I also like the small interior restaurant in Winter that is most intimate and... More

We had a single night in Milan this time around as we were using Milan as a transit point on our way to Barolo. We had absolutely no recommendations from friends and the wife picked the restaurant through internet research. Turned out to be an absolutely fine experience. From the wine, to the appetisers, to the mains, the service and... More

Went to the Don Lisander last week with my family. We were lucky enough to be able to eat outside in the garden. To find such an amazing location in the centre of Milan, two minutes away from Via Montenapoleone and the Scala is incredible. There is a good variety of menu, starting with all the typical Milanese specialities without... More

Referred by my boss, Don Lisander was an excellent choice for our first night in Milan. I enjoyed onion soup and salmon steak and fresh vegetables. My wife loved her artichoke hearts, spaghetti with ricotta cheese. We shared an excellent bottle of Sassella.

My cousin and I enjoyed dinner at Don Lisander and loved every bit of it. Its located in the heart of downtown Milan and they have a beautiful outdoor garden. I ordered Spaghetti del Cavalier Cocco which has ricotta cheese, tomato sauce and lime. So delicious!! My cousin said his Veal was the best he's ever had. We shared two... More

Felt this didn't live up to expectations. Haven't eaten here for many years but booked again for dinner on a weekend break away. The Osso Bucco was good but the rissotto slightly under seasoned. The fish was served on ribbons of carrot and courgette. A bit bland. We were given a glass of dessert wine with our puddings.

We had a tasty meal here and enjoyed the italian atmospere, good wine and helpful service. Prices, however, are a little on the high side.

Our Food Was just Fabulous. This was our second meal in Italy and it was just fantastic. The restaurant was convenient to get to from hotel in the Duomo. We were made to feel welcome from A to Z...especially because we are from the USA. The energetic owner even helped to deliver our entrees and we talked about the long... More

This a very good Italian restaurant in an excellent location, close to luxury shopping, in summer you may sit outdoors, very friendly staff & excellent food. We have been coming here for years and we will come back for sure :-)

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
