the tasting menu of 15 dishes was completely bad, too sweet meal for my taste, service not but, not worth the cost. The dessert was very ordinary and suitable for coffee not for dinner, poor plates decoration

Maybe it is because I am from Spain and I am "spoiled" in this sense, but I am not used to eat such a bad food in a Michelin starred restaurant. For me such star is an enormous mistake. The starters are ridiculous and they taste bad. The sweet "insalata russa" is awful and the rest of dishes do not... More

It was the most disappointing experience in Milan. Actuality in whole Italy. I cannot believe this restaurant was so difficult to book. The ambience was so plain and dry. The waiters were not so well trained. They tried to take my dish even before I had a few bites. Most strangely the waiter tasted our wine before he served... Am... More

We had to book much in advance to get the table at this famous restaurant, but at the end we were so disappointed. We had the tasting menu because we wanted to try as much as possible, but it was a mistake. It seemed that their chef just recently bought a new toy that he wanted to try - fruit... More

Firstly as with all Michelin star restaurants there's always an element of Excentricity so we went with an open mind...good job we did. Could not falter the service the staff couldn't do enough and sometimes a bit too over attentive. As for the atmosphere well that's easy there wasn't any. Every time you moved on your chair it sounded like... More

I had the pleasure to taste the cuisine of the famous Cracco restaurant. Everything has been as ones would expect from one of the most famous Italian chefs. The arrival, the service, the attention to all details...outstanding! I had the sole for starter and my friend had the spaghetti, as main I had the great fusilli and he had the... More

Its a cool, rich build-out of a restaurant with a couple of Michelin stars. That is where it ends. I needed to keep flagging down a server for bread or drinks. They are trying the molecular gastronomic approach for Italian cuisine and it just does not work. So expensive! 570 euros for the 2 of us..........we had 4 glasses of... More

We went to Cracco saturday night to celebrate my birthday. We planned this about a month ago, made a reservation and it was just a great evening!!! We started with a glas of Dom Perignon, followed by the first plates from the chef. The food quality is absolutely worth it! Dished are composed of simple ingredients but brilliantly combined into... From the start, we had a bad feeling. There for 10 minutes without being given a menu or offered a drink, multiple staff buzzing around but not a lot happening. The first 'welcome' arrived before a drink. Three 'welcomes' later (the last a bowl of lentils) we we were served our meal. Uninspiring and the Veal Milanese plainly ridiculous. Three... More

I will begin by stating that I am Italian and a great lover of Italian cuisine which, in my mind is based on using great ingredients and doing the minimum necessary to bring the best out of them. Meat, fish, vegetables, cooked to perfection in addition to pasta and rice is what italian food is all about I was invited... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
