The restaurant is very romantic and has an amazing setting. The food is delicious and the staff are great. Fabio was our waiter and he is really very professional and kind. The spaghetti pomodorro e basilico was really a success.

For those you familiar with the finest Flemish interior design architecture, a visit to Casa Borella will make you feel somewhere in northern Europe .. one can even have a canal sea view since this beautiful newly renewed place is situated just opposite the Canal ( Naviglio Pavese). Food is very italian though, very good selection of cheese and sweet... More

This place is nice and charming at first sight. That is why I chose it. However the food was mediocre and not cheap. My baccalà (stewed cod fish) was too salty. Also the cotoletta milanese of my friend was nothing special. Moreover, it was quite cold, and I hate eating in cold places (I was dressed, not naked..). All in... More

My wife and I visited Milano in late August and did not pass up the opportunity to head to Navigli for dinner (I hear that it is dead here during the day). We had no predetermined venue in mind and probably were a little early for the typical Milanese evening meal but it was still light enough to see what... More

Our hotel (westin Milan palace) recconended this as a good place to go near the Naviglo area in Milan. It was so beautifully decorated with a very modern style, while still making you fully aware that you were in Italy! They let us sit at the center table overlooking the street. Great people watching. The service was top notch and... More

We noticed the nice restaurant during a stroll on the Naviglio. Very well refurbished. Neat furniture. Clean. At a first glance the menu appeared on the expensive end. So we continued our walk but concluded that it was worth a try (other restaurants on Naviglio were not much cheaper and most of them not so well-kept). The service proved good... More

We stopped here by chance as it was a sunny day and we wanted to sit outside. The food excelled. Had the spinach souffle to start which was amazing then steak and roast potatoes and salad, the steak was the best I have ever had. It was a very pleasant lunch in the sunshine by the canal. We hadn't been... More

We stumbled across this place whilst walking the Navigli canal area and what a find! Lovely staff from the boss down. A beautiful contemporary interior with bamboo furniture. We had Octopus with potato and truffle sauce, spinach souffle and fresh fish, fantastic. Great value too, we would return tomorrow.

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
